I love working with these guys. As a single young woman, it's always a worry that I'll get ripped…read moreoff. Luckily, I know enough about cars to know when that's happening, so I always want to pay special attention to let others know how auto shops fare. Dave and Pat get my seal of approval! 1. They're easy to communicate with. Whether through text, email or phone, I always know where things are in the process. 2. They give you rides to and from. And at least in my experience it's never been awkward or uncomfortable. 3. They do a thorough check. I came in most recently for an oil change and a check tire light. They not only diagnosed and fixed the problem with the light, but found another issue. I've had places do that before, but it was for upcharge services that I definitely didn't need, and they made me feel pressured. Dave and Pat let me know of at real issue in a pleasant, matter-of-fact way, along with all of my options. They even pointed out when I got my car later that my battery wasn't doing as well as it should and told me about how to go about getting it replaced for less elsewhere. 4. Their prices are fair. Like most people, I always worry how much I'll end up shelling out that I wasn't planning on originally. Dave and Pat makes their prices very clear before I agree--no "$5 for parts and anywhere from nothing to a million dollars on time, just depends on how long it takes." The cost is definitely fair. If you're looking for a kinda clean lobby to hang out in for an uncertain amount of time while people wearing matching clothes do something-or-other in the garage, this won't be your place (no major shade intended, but I worked at one of those shops for years, so trust me on this...). But if you want your car fixed by people you can feel confident in entrusting your keys to at a fair price, I suggest Dave and Pat's.

Pat has always been honest and taken great care of our cars. His prices are better than the car…read moredealers and he doesn't try to up sell you.

Every experience I have had here has been excellent. If you view going to mechanic like going to…read morethe dentist, give Shottenkirk Ford a try. Matt Weir is the epitome of customer service: polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Sometimes there can be a tiny bit of a wait, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a place that is consistently busy because they consistently take care of people. If your experience is only half as good as mine, you'll still be satisfied here.

Funny story, the fuel pump quit on my red ford ranger. Shottenkirk burlington was the place I had…read moreto get it towed to for the replacement according to my Insurance company. I went along with that and just bit the bullet when i heard how much it would cost. I have done this myself before and it is not fun. Anyway, i went to pick it up today, now two weeks later. Wife and Daughter had to be involved in a 3 car meeting so they could get to Burlington, trade the explorer i was driving and also get the camry back home. At that point, i got into my truck and headed back to work as it was around 330, and I usually work until 5 or so. I noticed the fuel was low, so i stopped at caseys in Middletown. I put the nozzle in and heard a gusher of fuel under the truck. Turns out, they did not reconnect the fuel hoses to the fill hole and left them hanging off to the side. About 1/2 gallon of fuel went on the ground before I knew what was going on. I still needed fuel so i crawled under the truck in the puddle of gas and shoved the hoses back where they are supposed to be. Then i went into Caseys middletown to see what needed to be done about the spill. They said it was not too bad and put some oil dry down. So off to Shottenkirk I went. The customer service area is set up kind of like a university auditorium but instead of students there are customers, and the area where there would be some professors is where you talk to the people fixing your cars. I went in and was trying not to be 'that guy' but when i get angry and excited I tend to start TALKING REALLY LOUD and my voice carries pretty far. So i tried to explain this whole thing to the woman who I think might have peed her pants and she got a tech to come over and see what my issue was. By the time he got to me I took a chair in the auditorium area and everyone was either looking at me or wondering what kind of dumpster fire Shottenkirk was making of THEIR vehicles. The tech came back later and said he got everything hooked back up and gave me my keys. I went over to the woman that might have peed and asked who i needed to talk to to get some kind of a refund for this problem. She called Mike in on the intercom and I went back to my chair which i tried to make sure had as much unleaded 87 octane transferred to it. Mike came over and i went through the whole thing with him again in front of my audience and he said maybe we should go back to my office. I said maybe we should. The tech came back in and I said I understand the mistake , but, you and I both know what this should cost, and its about one fourth of what I am being charged. That is why I am not happy, and my beef is not really with you. So I think he was ok and was dismissed but then I was back to Mike to see what he was going to do. He gave me a 100% refund on labor. That left me paying for a 500$ or so pump that I could have got at AutoZone for $225. In the end its probably a good deal but I am assuming the rest of the job was done right. Jury is still out on that.
