We had such an abysmally awful experience with BR stone that we will be joining Angie's List specifically to leave a review there as well. We were involved with BR stone for about a years' time. Every step of the way the owner, Rodrigo, demonstrated serial ineptitude. I will say that the other employees we worked with were polite and sweet. Literally every step of the process went wrong. Stones were misidentified and mislabeled (granite we'd never seen before and did not order arrived at our house on TWO different occasions). Then, Rodrigo tried to claim that I had changed my mind about what we wanted (even after admitting that the mislabeling was his fault), and that he was being a "nice guy" about eating the cost of the redos. Granite also arrived in the incorrect finish (we'd ordered leathered, it arrived shiny). This mistake I discovered only after they'd ripped out all our old granite, so we had to live in our house without a kitchen for 3 days. Had we been shown an order form or any documentation at all, we could have corrected this mistake before the stone was cut. Workers showed up 1-3 hours late for every appointment, and cut holes for the stove and faucet IN THE HOUSE with no personal protective equipment whatsoever. It was so dusty the smoke alarms went the whole afternoon, and now I have to clean toxic silica dust out of every nook and cranny of my home. Once, they showed up with the stone all ready for the install and had to leave because they neglected to tell us we needed to have a plumber and electrician uninstall our sink and cooktop before they could get started. I have never been so thoroughly unsatisfied with a company. PLEASE spend the extra cash and go to ANY of the other dozen or so granite places on that street. read more

I have used them twice for clients that have a tighter budget but it is honestly not worth their cheaper prices. Their templates are always off and in my most recent job it was almost impossible to cover the gap between the wall and counter with the backsplash, they installed the wrong sink, the joint between the counters was huge and very noticeable. I need to add to my previous review, as I am downgrading BR Stone to one star. Since we had the counter top installed last May, we have noticed orange stains all over it. The day the installers came, I didn't see how bad or extensive the stains were. I was just so relieved that our kitchen would be back in working order after waiting six weeks. When I asked about the orange spots, I was told that the stone just came that way. Every time I see those stains, I am furious about all the frustration we dealt with (to the point where I yelled at the receptionist, even though I consider myself a very calm person). Now we are stuck with defective stone and we cannot get our money back. I am suspicious that BR Stone's prices are so low because they get rejected or poor quality stone. BEWARE...and if you choose BR Stone, be sure to scrutinize the stone before you let them install it!! read more

I really wish I could give these guys a better score, I really do. I am very happy with the stone they provided, I'm happy with the install, and the people that came to do the work were friendly and professional. The price was amazing, and they even called me to ask if I could use a 5 sq.ft. piece (to make it 45 sq.ft. total), so that I could get the discount deal of a free under-mount stainless sink. I planned on using the 5 sq ft piece as a tabletop, and prepared to build a base for it. When the installers came, I saw the smaller piece sitting outside the house, but it never came in. The installers (I figured) must have mistakenly taken it with them, thinking it was scrap. This is where the headache began... I called, left messages multiple times, emailed, called again, and was never once called back. When I did get through to someone I was told it would be delivered, I was told the owner lives the next town over and would drop it off, I was told I would be "put on the schedule", and nothing ever graced our doorstep. I finally emailed requesting a copy of the bill and the piece of stone, and was told I would have to drive to Woburn to get it, even though it was their mistake in the 1st place, and I had already paid for everything to be delivered. Their price is great, their follow-through is an embarrassment. They got paid, and that's all they care about. read more

We purchased a counter top and quartz cap for our shower surround + installation. Installation was scheduled for a Friday and they arrived very late and installed the counter top at an angle and left the cap for the shower uncut and uninstalled on the floor. Upon complaining they had already deducted the cost for completing the job from our credit card and are delaying in coming back to finish the job for weeks. Very unresponsive and unfriendly. I do not recommend buying anything from this company our issue is still unresolved. read more

I gave them "ZERO" stars.. but I couldn't post this review without selecting 1 star.. This company is sincerely inadequate... They over-promise to get your business and then the delays and excuses are starting. They promised me the delivery of three small pieces on a wednesday, order went in on Saturday. The wednesday, BRstone called, that they couldn't cut the pieces and that it would be done Friday. I called Friday, to see if the pieces were done..Their answer ..."Not done yet..by 5pm they will be done..and we will call you when it is done"... I called back two weeks later on Friday again. Their answer..."pieces are not done yet...this afternoon by 5pm"... Checked to make sure before 5pm.. Their answer.. "we are polishing now..done tomorrow". So I go to BR stone on the Monday after the weekend.. "your pieces are not done...We are going to polish them now.." "if I could wait a bit longer".... and all this after I called 5 times to check on my order.. So... the manager there tells me that it is all the mistake of a girl they just fired... more excuses.. Where I had different girls on the phone, which all put me on hold every time, to check in the shop on the status of my order.. Then you ask for your money back and then the whole thing comes up, that they already cut the pieces, done the work.. the manager didn't want to lose money... Where all the waiting and fake promises had cost me more money from contractors who showed up at my house to install the pieces and had to go home without doing work. At the end, when I look at the pieces, they are cut poorly, the edging they did is inconsistent....probably because they rushed it when I showed up. above all, the polishing of the fronts look bad.. there are streaks and doll spots from the polishing... I have my contractor run out to have it re-polished add a better stone place... So think twice before you use those guys..they maybe cheap...but that is what they deliver after you wait for it... read more

Stay away from this company. I'm not sure if they are even open at this point. We started the process with BR stone in July to have new countertops installed. We gave them a deposit and they never came back. We sent emails, made phone calls, showed up IN PERSON, and still nothing. They continuously lie. I finally told them we wanted nothing to do with them and that we wanted our money back. The check they gave us (after we had to drive down there 3 times!), bounced. We went back and no one is there. I bought a granite counter top from BR Stone Marble & Granite in Woburn. I am happy with the purchase. Their prices are great, I paid $24 a sq foot, a lot of other places are close to $50 and over. They came out to take measurements on the day that they said they would and installed about 8 business days later. The only hiccup was they said that the installers would be here by noon, they didn't come until 7:30 at night. read more

Horrible experience!! Now that we have had time to calm down a little bit we figured we would put a review out there for other people considering this company. I definitely should have done more research. Let me start by saying I think the whole problem here is this company is very new and the owner is very inexperienced on how to run a company. First started by going to see them. Found a stone that we liked and we were told we would have a template person come. This was after agreeing to the stone, choosing the sink we wanted and an install date, and they took their deposit. First appointment set up, we had a no-show and no one called to say they weren't coming how to measure for a template. Set up a second appointment for which there was another no-show and again no one called to say they were not coming. That's two days I wasted waiting for them to come measure my kitchen countertop. So I basically was going to say that I did not want anyone to come and we wanted a refund. The girls in the office convince me that someone would for sure come on Saturday. They promised me someone was coming Saturday so I gave it one more shot. A nice young guy came about an hour after he said he would be there. This was after I called the office to make sure he was still coming. Apparently he was coming from New Hampshire from another call and he had no phone numbers on the paperwork so that he could call me himself to say he would be late. Said he was helping the owner out working on Saturdays. Very nice and had great experience with him. Next thing that happened is when we went to look at the slabs of granite they tried to convince us to take one that had a huge vein running through it. We said no way we will wait for another shipment to come in. We had chosen the Ornamental. We then came back and looked at new slabs and picked one with no vein. Then they came and took our old countertops out. two gentlemen showed up and did that. they took them out and the next day the granite was coming. The granite showed up and in one section it was literally about 8 or 9 inches too short. They said they would immediately take it back to the shop and fix the mistake and be back later that day. They did come back that day with the correct cut slab and installed the countertop. I was praying it was sealed. A few days before this I asked the question whether or not they would be hooking up my sink. Because it was a different sink that I previously had. I said I would get a plumber but they offered to send one and charge $300 to do so. So the next day their plumbers showed up. It was literally the same guy that took the countertop out. Apparently he is a general contractor. The two guys came in a minivan, didn't even have the name of the company on the van. Very unprofessional. They came in street clothes like dressy type jeans and plaid shirts could have been anyone walking off the street. They were using their cell phones as flashlights, that was the first sign that they were not prepared for what they were in for. Showed up with no tools and no Plumbing equipment, things a typical plumber would show up with, or maybe even the truck with all the parts in it. Let me just say they are not plumbers, this person was a general contractor. One did not speak English and was translating to my husband on his cell phone. They went back and forth to Home Depot a few times. My husband knows plumbing and could have done the sink hookup himself but we figured we didn't want to deal with it. It would have taken my husband a little longer and figured they would do it faster. They clearly had no idea what they were doing so the next time they went to Home Depot we told them not to come back and we wanted a refund on the plumber and we called our own plumber. My plumber came the next day and was in and out in 2 hours. Probably because he knew what he was doing. I would never hire these people again. They seemed very inexperienced on how to run a company or a business and ha no idea how to present themselves to the customer. Also when they came back with the second slab they completely scratched my stainless steel sink when they were sliding it into place. I would never recommend this company. Buyer beware read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. After going to Lowe's and Home Depot, I saw how incredibly high the prices were, so I called BR Stone. They were running a special, doing granite at $21.99 per square foot! The service was on point and my salesperson was great too! They even threw in a drop sink for free. I recommend this company to anyone looking to install granite countertops in their home. You will be very pleased! read more

RUN far far away from this company. I wish I could give a lower rating. I'm shocked anyone gave them anything but 1 star. I see the owner answering some reviews, some advice, use that time to train your staff or help your customers that will go a long way in you business continuing instead of trying to pretend on yelp that you care or are even close to a good customer service business. You may think you are getting a deal but it is not worth the TERRIBLE customer service you will be exposed to. Everyone at this place is rude and has no regard for their customers. Four times they said they were coming to install and no call and no show. They were rude when I called to try and rectify, Juliana, Rodrigo, etc. everyone had no interest in trying to help me. As long as they had their money. I'm sure the deal on the stone is tempting but the savings is not worth the aggravation, over a month later from when I ordered the stone was still not installed. They have no interest in fixing it. I hope people stay away from this business. I will be reporting them to the BBB and on other websites so others don't fall victim to their practices.
