NOT RECOMMENDED ANYMORE! These aren't the same honest people I used before. The alternations were done by ammeters and when confronted, they blamed it on my shoulders saying one was shorter than the other. I spent $100 on simple alterations and they weren't even right. read more

They're great! They fixed my blanket by reattaching the satin trim. It was frayed and in very rough condition...yet they did an amazing job with it! You can barely find where they fixed it because it looks as it did when I first got it 18 years ago. They are reasonably priced as well - especially for the quality that you get. Best alteration to date was a wool pea coat I bought three sizes too large that they took in the shoulders and sleeves on so that it would work during my pregnancy. Do not believe the hype... this was once the best alterations in town. I have been a long time customer but have seen service and quality progressively decline over the past couple of years. I hate it because I too promoted BPs to other people. However that time has past and will not be recommending nor going to BPs any longer. I have found two other places that have been recommended to me (from folks whom decided to stop visiting BPs as well) that I will be visiting next... there has to be a better choice. read more

I'm new in town and am so glad I found Bp's. Not only do they finish altered garments so they look perfectly machine-sewn on both the inside and the outside, but they are creative and take unique requests seriously. When I brought them a strapless dress (not a formal dress but a more casual sundress) and asked them to make straps out of the material from the hem, they did it without hesitation and created a beautiful finished product for a totally reasonable price! It cost just $34 to create the straps, re-hem the dress, and take it in a bit at the sides. I brought in two pair of dress shorts as well to have the pockets sewn up so they wouldn't gap when I wear them. They now look perfectly finished on both the inside and the outside despite the fact that one of them is made of a rather unforgiving fabric. Oh, and they also were unfazed when I called them from my car because my toddler son was sleeping in his car seat on our arrival to pick up my items. They brought everything out to us so that my son and I didn't have to leave the car for a second, and they did it kindly, too! I have often avoided having things tailored because the results can be so uneven, but no more. Seriously, Bp's is the best! read more

I've had a few dress jackets altered with an ok job, however, the last one, a $4k suit was screwed-up beyond repair. No attention to detail, complete amateur work. Some inexpensive little jobs BP alterations may be ok for, but would never take anything of value to that place again. read more
