The hotel is inspired by the colorful and folk art influenced works of renowned mid-century modern architect and designer Alexander "Sandro" Girard. The hotel's bio says he was the main source of inspiration for the design of the Andaz Scottsdale. The property is beautiful to walk around, with all the landscaping, flowers and trees; some of them are marked with what kind of plant they are. There are century plants and aloe and various cacti. The fitness center is located at the spa. It has windows which open up onto the pool, which is a more private pool than the main pool. The staff is outstanding. Savannah, who ran the front desk on my most recent visit, is absolutely amazing and really helped with any questions or small issues with my stay. The restaurant is wonderful for the hotel breakfast. I recommend having cocktails there too. You can see a beautiful sunset from the bar. I love the open design of this hotel resort because it makes you feel like you're in the countryside and you can admire the beautiful views of Camelback as you walk around the grounds and hear birds chirping. It's so relaxing. Parking is easy and you can usually find a spot right outside your casita room as the parking circles the hotel. Toiletries in the room smell so good! Lavender with sea salt. It's really like staying in a spa! One of my favorite experiences at this hotel was taking a late afternoon outdoor class at the spa/gym on the large lawn where we did stretching/light resistance training with the the sunset behind Camelback Mountain as the backdrop. It was glorious. I definitely recommend trying one of the classes or "experiences" if you stay here. Some of them you have to pay extra for, but a few of them are included with your room rate. At first glance the hotel interiors and architecture seem extremely simple and minimal, but then you realize it's actually all a piece of mid-century modern inspired art. It's really fun to walk around and admire all the understated design details at this hotel.

What a lovely and beautiful hotel!…read more Due to accidentally booking our girls trip at a casino WAY too far away and not realizing it until the day before our trip... I scurried the internet and Yelp trying to find someplace closer to Scottsdale on a moments notice. Checking out the website and reviews, I booked our trip to the Canopy. On a wing and a prayer, I hoped it wouldn't disappoint!! IT. DID. NOT!!! Wow! What a beautiful place! Everything was spotlessly clean, smelled great and all the employees of the hotel were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. We kept telling each other that we were so glad that our original place didn't work out, this will always be our "go to" in Scottsdale from now on, they can expect us every year!! Location was perfect, close to shops, dining, nightlife and riverwalk. The parking is underground and gated so our cars stayed cool and safe. We didn't even need to use them though, everything was so close. We even took our first Waymo while there! We needed extra blankets and towels, they came quickly after we asked. Great corner room overlooking the city and the desert. We even had a "Welcome Lorri" on our TV when we entered. There are 2 restaurants, one in the downstairs lobby and one on the rooftop. Also located up there is a small pool. Great views, comfy atmosphere, misters when hot (which is often), delicious food at BOTH locations. Honorable mention is Ryan at the front welcome desk. She was phenomenal and just the perkiest, friendliest, helpful person!! She always had a smile on her face for us and suggestions for things to do and what to see. We wished she were actually a part of our group!! Well, I guess she was because we always stopped to talk to her when we passed through the lobby. Sooooooooooo very happy with this quaint and comfortable hotel. We will be back and we all highly recommend!! Thank you Canopy by Hilton... and an extra hug to our girl, Ryan!

With it' stunning mountains, palm trees and ritzy houses, Scottsdale is gorgeous. Bonus points for only being about 20 minutes from the airport. The hotel itself is beautiful with a ton of common areas to enjoy the sunset and scenery. It was a little chilly so the number of outdoor fire pits were very much appreciated. I was put in a room in the 17the or 19th building. I got lost a couple of times as it gets quite dark and the property is a bit of a maze. My friends were closer to the entrance. My room was nice but I felt it needed a bit of an update. Unfortunately I didn't receive my member benefits. I think this is a good resort for meeting up with a group or family, though there were plenty of couples while we were there. I didn't pay a ton for our stay which was good because I didn't really consider it a luxury property. A few things to note: the convenience store is only open till 6pm so plan accordingly. They will take you in a golf cart to your room. The pool is heated in the winter. Uber only takes a few minutes to come get you.

The property is beautiful and the room is large. The bathroom was the best part for us with the giant shower and jacuzzi tub. We enjoyed renting the bikes they have on property and biked a 4 mile loop that was very scenic through the surrounding neighborhood. There are a ton of fire pits and we enjoyed making s'mores at night. The pool is heated which is helpful for this time of year. There are also 2 hot tubs on property. Right now it's decorated for Christmas which definitely added extra to our visit.

The Grand Hyatt is great for families and couples alike, with whopping 10 outdoor pools and lots of open spaces to run around. Convenient self parking in a huge gated lot adjacent to the property. 2. Free and reasonably fast wifi 3. Clean, comfy rooms with spacious bathrooms and digital thermostat. The Housekeeping usually cleans up right after you have breakfast. 4. Decent gym with lots of cardio equipment and a dedicated weight room. 5. Filtered water stations everywhere, and the lobby has lemon and cucumber-infused water. 6. A 24/7 Market and Coffee Bar - this was extremely valuable since we arrived Christmas Day and even mega stores like Safeway and Target close early! 7. Our 5yo son loved the pools and the tons of open space to run around outside in between the fire pits and heat lamps. 8. Two breakfast buffets with decent selections.

Her name is Mary and if I were her boss I would give this woman the biggest raise! What Mary did is so much more than being helpful, or kind, or understanding. While she did all of that, she truly did so much more. I found myself at the hotel due to the death of a close family member and I have never felt so comforted by someone I did not know. That is where Mary really showed her empathy and compassion by making what was a terrible day a little easier to handle. I cannot thank her enough for just taking that extra time to go above and beyond when checking me in. I have never once had a bad experience at this hotel (and I have stayed at many Courtyards and other Marriott properties), and I find it always to be clean and comfortable. In fact, I have had better service and an overall better experience at this property than some of the Marriott Autograph Collection hotels. Very deserving of 5 stars!

This was a very beautiful hotel, but some areas need improvement. Walking in, you're greeted by staff, bellhops, and staff at the front desk. You can receive assistance to your hotel rooms with your bags, and it's helpful if you're on the 2nd floor since there aren't any elevators. You walk through a beautiful scene of outdoor booths, bonfires, and a pool oasis with palm trees. It's truly a beautiful scene morning, noon, and night. The rooms are also very pretty. We had two queens in a spacious room. While there isn't a dresser, there is a long table that doubles as an office desk. There is shelving in the closet, but that's not the worst condition. There was also a Nespresso coffee bar in our room. We didn't receive any complimentary bottles of water, so I wasn't sure what they expected us to use. I certainly wasn't going to pay for the glass bottles of water, as they charged quite a bit of money. We also found that we weren't always getting our Nespresso pods refilled, and if they did, it was with decaf coffee only. Weird because why would anyone only drink decaf? We had to constantly call to get our coffee station refilled as we prepped for the day. The rooms have a balcony with French doors. Ours was facing the street, but there's a wall separating the resort from the street, which added a nice bit of privacy. Unfortunatly I had to always keep the doors to the patio open when it was 40-50 F degrees because my room was always humid! I would like to preface that I went to The Scott Resort for a BOOK RETREAT. I ended up with some warped books, which I had to work on flattening when I got home. Sometimes I felt the carpets were moist due to the amount of humidity. I wasn't sure if the humidifier was on high, but it wasn't humid outside. The conference rooms were very spacious and nice. The hotel is clean, and the staff is very friendly. I do think they charge a very high amount for food in the room service and the hotel bar. My friend paid $30 for a martini. The Scott was lovely to stay in, although there were some issues. Because of the humidity issue, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless that problem is solved.
