a parking lot with cars parked in front of it

The girls who work inside are not very friendly, rarely say thank you, no smiles, not much customer service. If you ask for help it's likely to be met with an eye roll. Can only guess the owner is a tyrant and that attitude is passed down to the employees. Restrooms are outdoor port o John's. So overall this gas station is a pass.

Over priced, often dirty, and the workers are about as pleasant as a gunshot wound. I would rather go to Loves any day of the week.

As I begin my LMT career, I am still working at Amazon (thanks, Covid) in the transportation department to pay bills and provide insurance for my family. Today, I am on the road to Columbus, Ohio. I love road trips! Whether in a group or riding solo, I simply enjoy cruising down the highway. Today, I'm solo. There's nothing quite like listening to some good music with someone special on your mind the entire drive until you can take a break and send a little message to remind them how special they are. Today's playlist: Snoop D. O. Double G (favorite: Gin & Juice), 2Pac (favorite: How Do U Want It), and some Beyoncé (favorite: Countdown). Oh, and my favorite rap song of all time? It also features Snoop... Nuthin' But a G Thang. It's a masterpiece. At one point, I even turned my hat around backwards and listened to some Limp Bizkit (Don't judge me for that one! It's a guilty pleasure and helps me keep Rollin' ;) That's punny!) Oh, yeah, the Love's. It's fine. It's a truck stop like any other truck stop. Pretty clean. When you are hauling a 53 foot trailer, there aren't a lot of places to stop for a break. So Love's serves its purpose. This one has a Wendy's and a Subway, so I guess that's cool if you're hungry. (Maybe a half-step better than Little Caesar's and Subway?) They have things. Stop if you need gas or a bathroom. Well, it's time for me to hit the road and think about special people and spectacular events.

BUT, when you…read morescan your Love's barcode, you get ten cents off per gallon and that will almost always make Love's the cheapest fuel. This stop was no different, filling up the Sprinter van, cleaning the windshield with their extra long squeegee sticks and then visiting the clean restroom. Snacks and drinks are well stocked including the roller hot dogs and the coffee station. They have a Wendy's and a Subway if either of those appeal to you. And they have a small dog park. There are also trash cans and squeegees available to clean your windshield. Located at a mega gas station that is extremely clean and well stocked. But who do you turn to when you need someone you can count on to get an important job done? Your boy, right here. That's who! Ok, on to the important stuff... Today's road trip playlist: A HEALTHY dose of Cold War Kids Some Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats A few random songs that always put me in a good mood: Electric Feel by MGMT A-Punk by Vampire Weekend Doin' Time (both versions!) by Sublime and Lana Del Rey I've never been to a Sheetz before, but it won't be my last. I can say I really "love(s)" this place a lot more than the spot across the street I previously reviewed. It is clean, has a walk-in beer cooler, and food that is made to order. They have burgers, hot dogs, and brats. I got a California Cobb salad with guacamole and fresh bacon. The salad was a nice size. Your order from a touchscreen kiosk and then pay at the counter. When your food is ready, they call your number. No fuss. The workers were kind and helpful and joking around with me. The place is also easy to get in and get out (which was not the case at the other gas station earlier in the week. That was a nightmare.) So, when I'm heading through Ohio, Sheetz is gonna be my new gas station that I'll be looking for.
