Poor customer service. Filled up my tank, and then had a small plastic bag of road trip trash -…read morereally not much in it but a mini pringles can, a couple of plastic cups, some receipts and the like. I put it in the trash can, and the owner came out and yelled 'this isn't a dump' at me, and grabbed the bag out and took it away. If I could have poured all that gasoline back into the pump and had my money back, I would have, even if it meant walking to the next station to buy a container and a walk back to fill the tank. Disappointed that I gave him my business, but will never make that mistake again!

I visited this BP location for gas, as well as to obtain an 11 cents per gallon Upside cash back…read moreoffer. At the time, it was the closest gas station to me making it acceptable for me to choose. Sporadically, I have visited in the past for either gas, snack food, to pump air into my tire, or for its Dunkin' which is open at set hours of the day. Likely, with-it being part of the Upside cash back application I will visit more as time progresses, but that would determine the cents per gallon which appears to vary daily. Upside requires you to claim the offer before paying for the gas with the credit or debit card listed on the application. And for the most part it takes at least four days to verify the transaction. This particular transaction took three days to be completed where I received 32 cents from the 2.92 gallons pumped. Now as for this location, it sits in a questionable area with two other gas stations blocks apart from each other, a Shell, and Citgo. Honestly, your safest option is the Citgo that sits blocks away because it is less congested, plus there are less individuals loitering outside. As I mentioned into this review, this location offers a Dunkin', and if you are in need for air in your vehicle's tire there is access to an air pump. It is best to not purchase junk food or food items in general at this location period because the prices are horrendous! There is also the likelihood of encountering dusty outdated items that have been shelved for who knows how long. One thing that may deter you from regular visits is its bullet proof window inside, shielding the clerk from potentially being robbed or harmed. In the past, this location has had its glass door shot out, so I recommend being cautious of your surroundings when or if you visit. I knock on wood when I type this, but I have never once had any issues during my visits, even near midnight. However, best believe when I visit, I am very mindful of who is in the area as I pump gas because you just never know nowadays. If it helps comfort you, there is someone on watch inside of this gas station, but I am unsure if that individual possesses any legit security training. With all that I have shared, I personally have yet to have any disturbing experiences at this BP location, but I do hope this review assists you in any way. ~Blessings~ Thomas G

I visited this Shell gas station solely because Upside, a cash-back application, offered 12 cents…read moreper gallon off regular gas. Nearest to an area I frequent, it is one that offers higher cash back than most partner stations along my driving route to my residence. Upside requires you to claim the offer before paying with your linked card. While verification usually takes at least four days, it took less than 24 hours during this visit. The location of this Shell station is highly congested because it sits at the busy, light-controlled intersection of Harlem Avenue and Roosevelt Road. Leaving the station and heading east toward Berwyn on Roosevelt Road during the late afternoon is always frustrating. The oncoming traffic makes exiting painful, as drivers are in a rush and refuse to let you merge. This consistent hassle deters me from visiting and frequently drives me to the next station to use a rival cash-back offer on Upside instead. In my opinion, the gas station locations along Roosevelt Road are poorly planned; they should be situated farther away from major intersections with traffic lights, which make them a nightmare to exit. Like most stations along Roosevelt, it always seems far easier to get in than it is to get out. Most gas stations give off a gritty vibe that makes you want to pull out the heavy-duty sanitizer before you even touch the nozzle. This place was different--clean enough that I didn't immediately reach for the latex gloves. Even so, I used them anyway, because you never really know with places that have a constant stream of customers coming and going. We all know the clerk isn't stepping out to disinfect the handles between fill-ups. In this world, you must protect yourself from these germ-infested surfaces because nobody else will do it for you.
