The store looked a mess inside which was my first time going in a long time. Typically I will just get gas and do everything at the pump. The convenience of paying for everything at the pump is very convent. I love how speedway has a rewards program and you can earn points to utilize in different ways. Customer service was good.

I'd give this Castleton Speedway a zero. While I was waiting to pick up my dinner order from Thai…read moreOrchard I decided to walk over to Speedway to look for some animal crackers as a special treat for my dog. (He was diagnosed with cataracts today). I was dressed in a Tshirt & shorts & had my bank card & driver's license in my side pockets & keys in the other. I was looking around any animal crackers & had checked my pockets as a habit to check that my cards ID & key's were in place. I noticed a clerk putting drinks away watching me. I found some animal crackers & picked up as well a Heath bar for me. I went up to pay & this man accused walked up to the counter & accused me of placing items in my shorts & pockets! I believe the word he said was "snatching" or some other urban slang that I never heard. A customer standing next to him said he means "you got something in your pockets, under your shirt or in your pants"! Then I proceeded to take out my cards, ID, keys. Laid them on the counter. And he had the nerve to ask me to lift up my t shirt & pull the top of my shorts down! When he was convinced he & the customer walked out. No apologies from him or the cashier. When I walked out, he and the customer were off to the side smoking a joint! Don't ever buy a thing in there. Guaranteed you will be treated like a criminal.

This means that, despite paying by credit card to avoid having to go into the gas station, I now have to unplug my phone, grab my purse and other belongings, and walk into the gas station, and then wait in line behind all of the trashy people who are trying to buy lottery tickets and tobacco products with credit cards that invariably decline the transaction, leaving them scrambling for pocket change instead of taking it as the wake up call it should be to re-examine their lives and figure out where they went so wrong that the highlight of their day is cobbling together enough money to squander on a scratch off ticket or some Swisher Sweets. You may think that forcing your credit card customers to come inside will result in some impulse buy in the store. I'm telling you it won't. All it does it piss off your loyal, paying customers, who paid at the pump so they wouldn't have to deal with that nonsense. Enough is enough. I will no longer be returning to your gas station. I will instead go to the other Marathon or the Shell just across the way.
