Kwik Trip A gas…read morestation chain that found a way to do it right. I haven't yet stepped into one of these gas stations that disappointed me. My visits are always satisfying. This location has a premium location and a nice size pump area with a high canopy. This location also has plenty of parking spots for those stopping without getting fuel. Nestled right in the middle of a well lit business district with people everywhere, a customer can feel safe shopping at this location. The inside of this store is easy to navigate making it easy to find your fast items, and the restrooms are 'inside' restrooms. This is a fantastic location. Incessant Research

There are two driveways, but the paved pump areas are so small that its entirely possible to get parked in at the pumps. Then, there are the people that pull in and park at the pumps without getting gasoline as they run inside for smokes or snacks. Or vehicles that don't even belong on this tiny lot, such as full size school buses blocking the entire line of pumps. School bus companies have their own fueling systems. They shouldn't be blocking gas station pumps at this gas station or any other gas station. Inside this gas station is where they hit their home run. It's clean, tidy and well maintained. Cold sandwiches, fruit, groceries, beverages, ice cream, TV dinners and some automotive supplies. The staff is always polite and very professional.

Must be a miserable place to work--always a single employee and endlessly malfunctioning pumps (my friends, who live very nearby, won't even stop here, because apparently this has been going on for quite some time). Can't say much about their store--after attempting to get gas, all I want to do is leave. You'd think Stop N Go would want their locations to be at least functional--this one must have slipped under their radar.

On our way home, I fell asleep and my friend who was driving stopped at Smiley's c-store in Slinger to get gas and decided to throw out a bunch of garbage and empty water bottles. He also threw out my cup, but I didn't know it at the time since I was sleeping and when we got home I just went in the house and went to bed because I was so exhausted. When I woke up the next day I realized my cup was nowhere to be found. When my friend woke up I asked him if he knew what happened and he realized he may have thrown it away. I immediately called the gas station to try and salvage the cup. A gentleman answered and I explained the scenario. I kindly asked if he would be willing to take a look in the exact garbage bin for the cup and he gives the most sarcastic, snarky remark, "Yeah, I'll get right on that." Shocked, I said, "So can you really?" He says, "I'm going to take care of my customers first." I asked, "Can I give you my number and you give me a call back when you get a chance to look?" He goes, "How about you just call back later and I'll let you know." At this point I have no faith in this man and I'm fuming at the fact he decided to make a snarky, sarcastic remark to me. I decided to make the long drive from Appleton to Slinger myself. When I got there I found the cup right where I asked him to look. I saw the older gentleman working the Saturday morning shift and thought about saying something but decided against it. I decided to just leave, never return, and tell others of my experience in hopes they would never go and have to deal with this employee with horrible customer service. I used to live near Slinger and have stopped here a few times for gas in the past and a few more on trips down to Milwaukee, but me nor anyone I'm ever traveling with will again and I recommend you do the same.

Words cannot express how much I appreciate that I can get what I needed taken care of, and no one tries to upsell me when I pick it up. Too many times is a new issue presented when one just got fixed, but I've never had that problem at D and D. Even the owner had reached out to ensure my service was satisfactory. If my vehicle weren't a diesel, I'd say I'd never go anywhere else. But for all non-diesel related issues, I'll always go to D and D.

He was unable to remove the lug nuts from my vehicle because he did not have the proper tools for the job. Instead of explaining the situation professionally, he became frustrated and directed his attitude toward me. At one point, he said, "You know what? I don't have to be here," and then left without resolving the issue or offering an alternative solution. I understand that some roadside situations can be challenging, but customers should still be treated with respect. A professional technician should arrive with the appropriate equipment or, at the very least, communicate respectfully if they are unable to complete the job. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

Their prices are pretty comparable to other grocery stores but they do have some good sales. The vibe is a little chaotic, similar to a Costco sometimes. That being said, they have a phenomenal selection of cheese with local and commercial offerings. We would come back but perhaps during off hours so as to not have to navigate a chaotic parking lot.

The clerks at the other lanes, being in a hurry of course, must just toss everything willy-nilly into a bag (and they'd do exactly the same, even if using the boxes (yes, reusable BOXES) that I bring, and my reusable double paper bags with handles. I pack my stuff a certain way for the ride back home -- so, thanks but no thanks to foregoing the self-check. But yeah, Stan D., nearly always a technical problem at the POS checkout. For both of our last two visits, 2 of 3 self-checks OUT OF ORDER . . . with no one, the entire time, coming around to make any effort, of any kind, to get them up and running. As a bonus -- During my LONG time spend in what should be a fast process (with food thawing the entire time), there's the same ongoing and repeated problem in the lane that WAS "working": frequent yawps of "Please place item on the belt", after it had, of course, already been scanned correctly and, um, DUH, correctly placed onto the belt. Retrieve it from the big pile of done stuff, bring it back, put it onto the belt (AGAIN), swear, hold mock pistol against your temple, pull the mock trigger. The latest 20-minute odyssey, behind just ONE other person, took that long precisely for that reason. (Without those asinine and infuriating glitches, my scanning and paying would be among the fastest in history.) This sh*t no longer feels like a reasonable price to pay, in exchange for what is still, in my view, an excellent selection and good prices (compared to the joke known as Pick 'n Save, and the lovely but costly Sendik's).

The pumps were in good working order, and fairly responsive (who wants a slow gas pump when it's cold outside!?). The pump accepted my BP gift card without issue and printed a receipt with the balance at the end of the transaction. I didn't notice any trash or any of those things that give gas stations a bad rap. Should I find myself in the area again, I'd stop here and fill up without hesitation.
