I tell the guy at the counter what happens and he looks at my like I'm the dumbest person in the world and says if I don't have the receipt there's nothing he can do. First of all, why would I click print to get a receipt on a car wash, you can't take a car wash back?? Second, I'm not going to print a receipt thinking there's gonna be a car wash issue of all things and oh I better keep proof of it, like what?? His smug look and complete lack of customer service was appalling. At that point it's not about the money, it's about refusing to help. He could've looked up my transactions and saw that the card number that matches the card in my wallet literally just paid 10 minutes ago. If he was really that pressed about verifying it could've looked at the cameras and watched me pay and sit there. SOMETHING!! At least try to verify another way. Instead I was met with the most, "I couldn't care less." attitude. Yep, there's a Slurpee machine in there and the doo-dad with the rolling hot dogs and taquitos. Easy to access from I-77 and if you follow the signs properly, you can get onto either I-77 or I-485 from here easily. If you can hold out another TWO miles, continue down I-77 to Carowinds Blvd which is across the border into South Carolina. South Carolina state gas tax is 18 cents lower than North Carolina, so on a typical 12 gallon fill up, you're saving about two dollars.

So, I used the flat service auto pay unit. Placed items on the flat surface, it asked quantity, I input 2 Tornados. $2.69 Price on register showed did not match price charged. I was charged $7.78 I called for the attendant, Ron. Showed him the price charged, asked him if that was correct. He stated "Did you pay for the items?" Yes Then I can do nothing for you."" It did not matter to Ron that the 2 devices came up with different totals. The machine did not issue a receipt. Ron walked away, I asked for the managers name, he mumbled something I could not understand and walked away a 2nd time. While the cost was not an enormous amount the fact that their machines charge different prices should of been a concern to the attendant, apparently not. I will advise our company drivers to use alternative locations and if they do stop here to make all purchases with a clerk only. Poor customer service is getting to be the norm.
