I've only filled up here once and while it was fine it still remains not as good as the others I use more regularly, usually a few cents more, and not as inviting.

That was the first red flag that this was not a good area. I wanted to use the restroom, but there was a sign that they were out of order. I later went to 3 other hotels/motels in the immediate area on this road and all of them had signs that they were out of order or for employee use only. The last bathroom that had this sign was unlocked and I used it anyway. The bathroom sink and toilet was actually fully functional with no issues. The truth is that the bathrooms were "out of order" to most likely keep drug users or homeless from using it. I recommend avoiding this area and Richmond in general in your travels.
