I could not work out or engage in other physical exertion or drink coffee without risking an episode. If I didn't sleep in just the right position, or if I didn't eat just the right combination of macronutrients, I paid the price. Now, after working with Root Cause, I strength train three times a week, complete cardio regularly (including a weekly round of high intensity interval training), play basketball and pickleball, and am living a wonderful life. And yes, I'm drinking coffee again! Thank you Dr. Rick, Dr. Marco, and Vanessa for showing me the path to a healthier me. Your guidance, coaching, and professionalism are top notch. Dr. Marco, all of the breathwork and exercises you taught me have continued to be a fixed part of my daily routine. Thank you also to Dr. Vikki, whose YouTube content first gave me hope that something could be done.

But I booked this appointment because their website services list naturopathy, and specifically under those services detail the process of diagnostics - and that's not what I encountered today. In her words, "if you're one of those people who wants to waste time with bloodwork and things like that then we can..." I am one of those people, and I really appreciate understanding the "why" behind my treatment at the very least. But I got a lot of vague answers (why are you giving me these supplements? "Well I'm just giving you what's in my brain," and heard probably 5 times today "it's FDA approved", as if that explains anything), and so I spent $280 to learn this isn't the place for me, when I never would've booked at all if they didn't advertise services they don't believe in.

Do yourself a favor and stay far from this place. My husband (who passed away earlier this year)…read morewent to Life Works early last year for alternative treatment to cancer. He had received similar care at another place in Arizona that was absolutely incredible and added years to his life (Sedona Wellness Retreat). But since we lived in Florida, this was a good option for him at the time. Every day that he was there, he felt awful and I questioned their practices. He wanted to stick with the program and he believed that they could help. This is when everything fell apart. The first thing that went wrong was when one of the nurses pulled his port too quickly and injured the site. After this happened, cancer started to grow in that area and created a huge lump on his chest. It was not only uncomfortable, but also embarrassing for him. The second horrible thing that happened was when he was injected with an immunotherapy shot incorrectly, and it injured his arm to the point of losing complete mobility and being in level 10 pain. My husband did the program for about two months and then we went on a trip out of the country. Literally weeks after leaving Lifeworks his cancer came back with a vengeance. It had spread all over his body to his brain and spine and he never recovered after that. Not only did he come out of life works much worse after spending almost 100k but he also had that enormous lump on his chest that continued to bother him, and was also left with horrible swelling and pain in his arm without being able to use it until his last day of life. Life works has denied all responsibility and I'm sure they will respond on this post that they were not responsible at all but I know what happened and my husband knows what happened and this is a warning to not trust this place, not trust their nurses or their doctors and also know that if something goes wrong, they will not take responsibility.

It is relaxing just talking to her. She shows compassion and truly cares about you! I had an accident and needed an urgent referral and the staffs took care of my issue right away. I aslo needed some immunization and record for my immigration paper and they were prompt, gave me the follow-up phone call and a copy of my record in the mail (I did not even ask for any of this). Talking about an excellent customer service. I cannot imagine anybody who would not like her as their doctor. Highly recommended!
