After the procedure, I patiently waited four weeks hoping for pain relief and the return of mobility in my neck. When this did not happen, I sought care from Dr. Hongjian He as a last resort. At my consultation and first acupuncture treatment on March 29, 2023, Dr. He told me she would be able to help me with my severe neck pain and lack of mobility due to osteoarthritis in my cervical spine. Because of her expertise in acupuncture, I'm now able to move my neck enough to resume driving and my pain is minimal. I am grateful that Dr. He worked her magic on me! Wendy L.

I tried expensive expensive inserts, rolling cans under my feet in the morning, and eventually went to a podiatrist who had given me a shot of cortisone in both feet, only to have it return after a couple of weeks. I had heard from a couple people about Oriental Family Medicine and Dr. He. Out of sheer desperation I decided to go. After the first visit I got some relief and after a couple of weeks I was pain free! I was hooked! Acupuncture is amazing! Every summer, my husband and I would drive to Gunnison, Colorado to hike the mountains. I had arthroscopic surgery on my left knee a few years before but continued to have difficulty coming down the mountains. Again, with the help of Dr. He, I was able to go out and hike South Baldy mountain, which has an elevation over 12,000 ft! I continued to see Dr. He every year to get me ready for my trip out west. In 2014 she explained I needed to have the knee replaced because it was becoming increasingly difficult to hike the mountains. In 2016, I had the knee replaced and a month or so after I was back at Dr. He's office where she was able to help me with the recovery. After talking with people at rehab I felt like my recovery was going a little quicker. In 2019 I discovered a rash on my torso and clicked a picture of it to send it to my daughter who is a pharmacist. I am so glad I did because this rash was Shingles!!! I went to my Primary Care Doctor who have me antiviral medicine. My next phone call that day was Oriental Family Medicine! Terri answered the phone I explained I had shingles and I had an appointment right away! Dr. He used needles and cooling herbs. I went back for 3 or so visits and I was clear! I was elated since my sister said she had suffered with shingles. Dr. He has relieved my tennis elbow, pain in my lower back, and currently working on my sciatica. Every time I walk into the office I am warmly greeted by Terri and am ushered into a room where I feel at home. Terri is very easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor. It is very calming and relaxing to be in the office. Leaving the office, where I pay for my visit, I encounter Geri, who is warm and kind. I will continue to refer Dr. He and utilize her practice. Like I say people, "How do you argue with 3,000-year-old medicine." Dr. He is truly gifted! Christine L.

She was extremely helpful, polite, and understanding of my concerns. She helped with booking me an appointment for the same day for the Electro-Acupuncture.It is important to note that the **ONLY** reason I booked this appointment instead of waiting two days to see a highly recommended, trusted, and experienced Acupuncturist & Massage Therapist who is only a 45 minute drive away and literally HALF THE PRICE, was due to this service being offered. Upon arriving Suzi and I spoke again about the Electro-Acupuncture and how excited I was for this service. We spoke on my prior electrotherapy from when I fractured my back and the benefits of that therapy, to how this Electro-Acupuncture will be beneficial as well. I met with Dr. Janelle* who took notes on my problem areas, and then proceeded to start treatment which I was laying face down on the massage table. Not sure if it is normal practice for acupuncture, but I would expect the locations of needle entry to be cleaned or sterilized with at the minimum an alcohol wipe prior to sticking me with needles, which that was not done. The massage therapist, I believe Viera, was very polite and professional as well, she performed cupping too. After the service was completed I met with Suzi at the reception desk to check out and Suzi had asked Dr. Janelle* about the Electro-Acupuncture, to which she responded we did not do today. And that the only difference was the strength of results...I confirmed the total would still be $165 even though I did not receive the service I requested, to which the response was yes. The doctor was waiting to go with her purse while I was checking out, and stated that the only difference is the strength of results, it would have been much stronger. Frustrated, I pay. At no point was there any type of alleviation of misunderstanding on the type of treatment, no type of slight discount for inconvenience, literally nothing. I leave and immediately call my boyfriend and explained the situation. He agreed with me on my feelings towards this. Again, the ONLY reason I did not wait TWO DAYS, for a HALF PRICED SERVICE (apples to apples) was due to the Electro part, that I did not receive. It is extremely unfortunate as I and my partner live maybe 3 minutes away, are willing and wanting to do treatments and benefit our health, and I will never go back, nor refer anyone to go here. At this point I am not even going to update about results, if any. I am very bothered about spending this much money for nothing. Feeling ripped off. *Update: Dr. Janelle * Response to owner: Thank you for your response. I did clarify the provider's name on Google and apologize that this correction was not reflected here as well. I appreciate you providing that clarification. Regarding the treatment, Dr. Janelle informed me that electrotherapy had not been used only after the session had concluded--this was not communicated to me beforehand, nor was your receptionist aware until the session concluded as well while we were together. Therefore, I did not have the opportunity to consent to or refuse the recommended treatment in advance, as suggested. As for the follow-up, I do not feel obligated to respond to calls made months after the initial posting. Your team had ample time to reach out and address the matter in a timely manner. While the only correction needed in my original review was the provider's name, I found several inaccuracies in your response that reflect a broader issue of accountability. I had hoped this would have been handled with more professionalism and transparency. Thank you, Mrs. Perkins, for your delayed response.

I had also been diagnosed with a Mullerian Anomaly that would require surgery in July. My physical body and my spirit were completely ravaged; within minutes of sitting down in her office I burst into tears. Dr. Dawn was patient, sympathetic, proactive, and kind. From that point on, I began seeing her weekly for acupuncture appointments, diet discussion, and herbal refills. At the end of the summer, I was pregnant for the third time and very nervous after two prior losses. Shortly into my first trimester, I was put on bedrest for a large subchorionic hematoma (blood clot in my uterus). I continued seeing Dr. Dawn and it resolved by the 20th week. In Mid-March, I reluctantly ended my appointments due to the pandemic, and I gave birth to a baby girl in late April 2020. I am beyond grateful to physical healing and mental/emotional peace that Dr. Dawn brought to me prior to and during a difficult pregnancy. I am so thankful for her expertise and would be happy resume my sessions with her in a heartbeat. I truly believe she had an powerful impact on the outcome of my pregnancy. UPDATE: In July 2020 I came down with a case of mastitis and reached out to Dr. Dawn for herbal healing. She responded IMMEDIATELY with herbal recommendations that worked beautifully. THANK YOU Dr. Dawn! Sincerely, Kathleen
