So I decided to try the Italian beef and the Chicago hotdog (plant-based). I ordered the regular size Italian beef and could only eat half. The inside was very spacious. A lot of decor on the wall. Ample seating. Also ample parking. Because I ordered my food online, my interaction with staff was very limited, but they seemed pleasant overall. It was nice trying tastes of Chicago. I would recommend if you're looking for a fast food burger/hotdog establishment.

We have continued to give this location chance after chance because we genuinely like Portillo's, but every single visit seems to come with a new problem. At some point, enough is enough. Today's order was the final straw. We ordered: * Two double cheeseburgers: * One with NO mayo. Of course, it had mayo. * One with NO lettuce. Of course, it had lettuce. * One chicken sandwich with NO mayo. You guessed it, it had mayo. * And to top it all off, the "double" cheeseburgers weren't even doubles. They were singles. This isn't a small mistake. It's an order where almost everything was wrong. And this is nothing new. Over the years we have: * Had to drive all the way back because items were missing from our order. * Received soft drinks that turned out to be nothing but carbonated water because the syrup had run out. * Waited 30 to 40 minutes in the drive thru, which completely defeats the purpose of fast food. * Dined inside only to find sticky tables and empty utensil dispensers. None of these things by themselves would make me swear off a restaurant. But when they happen over and over again, they paint a picture of a location that simply does not care about quality, accuracy, or the customer experience. It's disappointing because Portillo's has built a reputation for great food. Unfortunately, the Homewood location consistently fails to live up to that reputation. We have spent our last dollar at this location. I sincerely hope management takes a hard look at what's happening because loyal customers can only overlook so much before they decide they're done. Sadly, we're done.

If you haven't had a fully loaded Chicago Dog- you're missing out!! Peppers, cucumber, tomato, onion, relish, mustard and the celery salt all served a top a pork hot dog with a sesame seed bun! Have driven past this place for years going to my grandmas house and never stopped. We will be back!

She's sweet, attentive, respectful, and fast, all while doing the job of three or four people. I've seen other workers in the past act rude or lazy. She brings the kind of energy and professionalism that makes people like me want to keep coming back. I even came in the other day just hoping someone would acknowledge her efforts--maybe tell her thank you or lend her a hand. It made me genuinely upset to see her busting her tail like that with no help, while still being kind to everyone around her. That's rare these days. Whoever's running this place needs to take a closer look--because that girl is a leader, whether she's getting paid for it or not.
