First, you must beware when you are being given items to take home for care, such as braces and splints. They now partner with See the Trainer in Bellevue. You sign the authorization with no clue as to the price, and the nurses do not know either. Then, 6 weeks later, you receive a bill for an outrageous amount. In my case, it was a $79 bill for a brace that cost $26.57 on Amazon. On top of that, I was seen (same visit, mind you) for a ankle injury. I was told that when the nurse practitioner looked at the x-rays, it was severely sprained and that I should feel better in "a couple weeks." A few days later, I found it odd that I had not received a follow-up call (as usual, when the specialist reviews the x-rays). I called and requested that it be looked at. Turns out, I had fractured my ankle and the bone was chipped on the side, with a recovery time of 6-8 weeks. Had I never called back, I may never have known this. If you are paying the price for an urgent care, the service needs to be better. And over the last year or two, it has declined. Sure the building is new and looks awesome, but when I am in an urgent care, I am more concerned with the quality of treatment than the awesomeness of the waiting area. I will be going to UNMC from now on.

Our son (1 yo) had a double ear infection on a Sunday and they were able to see us within minutes of getting there. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The environment was extremely clean and taken care of. Jen was so friendly and good with our son. Made me feel like she was there for him and making him feel comfortable with being at the doctors office. It was also nice that she herself could empathize with our situation and giving such sound advice. Appreciate the time, friendliness and energy the staff put in on this weekend.

When I explained what was going on to her and told her I've been to two different ERs and had the nastiest tone in her voice saying she didn't know what I was talking about and said she needed records of that. Parking is crowded, but one can usually find a reasonable spot. Extra care is provided for those who don't walk or need special care to approach and enter. This business is on the second floor and there is an elevator. I go to get allergy shots once a week, in the hope of attenuating them to a reasonable level. So far, so good. The staff and the doctors I've seen have been very good and very friendly. It's a big bonus. Obviously, I'll be back over and over again. :)

The person answering the phone, scheduling your appointment and greeting you when you come in, say a lot about a company so why should healthcare be any different? The ones who answer the phone and greet you at this office are amazing. My favorite is Jeff. He is so nice, jokes around with me and is easy to talk to. I don't dread calling in there because I know he will take care of me. Then once I go in, it is always a very pleasant experience. Dr. Schroeder is so wonderful. He listens to you, sympathizes and also makes sure to educate you on the whys, dos and don'ts of things. He doesn't make you feel bad about yourself for things, but rather tries to offer solutions and education on how you can change those things yourself or tips on how to help it. Seriously if you are looking for a new primary, he is the one for you and his fabulous office staff will take care of you like one of their own!
