Since I hadn't been there he graciously told us the lay of the land. I really enjoyed looking through the market. As with any antique mall there are vendor booths that are well priced and then insanely expensive. There is a lot to see for sure. One main drawback is this is a "CASH ONLY" business. If you read my reviews you know I hate cash only businesses. Luckily I had plenty of cash- as it turns out I ended up not purchasing anything. I was tempted to purchase a few items but did not. I highly recommend visiting- I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area. They have a little snack stand and a nice. Lean restroom to make your shopping spree comfortable. I did not eat here but I thought that was great! I was tempted by the enormous Valentines cards for 1$- but there were no envelopes. There was a cute seasonal booth where everything was a dollar and some booths had decent sales.

Fun, antique store with three levels and organized very well…read more I made my first official purchase at this antique store after visiting a combined ten stores consisting of thrift stores and antique stores over the past few months. I found a hand signed and framed map of Egypt entitled "Treasures of the Nile". Shockingly it was only $5 bucks too, score! My girlfriend and I spent a total of two hours here and we both left with some purchases. They also had a pamphlet on the main counter by the register showing where over fifty antique stores are located in the Tri-State area. If you are in the area and have the time, I suggest you check this place out. As always people SYOY!!

LOTS TO SEE and definitely could use multiple trips to see everything stacked, stored and hiding on the loaded shelves. Look high and low there are things everywhere! Only one cashier so be patient. ALL prices differently so keep your eyes peeled you may find your treasure cheaper!

What an amazing visit I had today…read more I had such a splendid time hearing from owner ( and author) Valerie about the Art featured in her store! She graciously shared stories and histories of Berks County artists ! I treasure the time she spent on the local talent! A life long passion! Valerie is a treasure trove! For example The paintings and lives of the Shearer family! Wow! Their talent is undeniable. I'm impressed and delighted to see these paintings and know something about them as well. There should be a movie about them or a documentary! It's a thrill! In the meantime there is a wonderful book. Valerie wrote a book on BERKS COUNTY ART. I'm happy to say I now own it!! I love it so much. I loved seeing the precious chick paintings of William Spang! I loved a lot about this store. Everything has a story. The art and the people! The staff will welcome you wholeheartedly. Let them know what you are looking for. Beautiful painted landscapes . Women artists like Mary Leisz! Who studied painting under Christopher Shearer... what amazing talent.

The first level has a lot of collectible items; I specifically remember seeing a selection of brass buckets and vintage political pins. The upstairs section is a labyrinthine attic space. You climb up and down these homespun staircases, and there are items on display in all the corners and crawlspaces. They had a wide selection of styles, even though the store isn't huge. I was specifically looking for mid-century pieces, and I bought a brass three-headed floor lamp for $30, a steel and upholstery desk chair for $40, and a teak American of Martinsville server for $130. Many of the items I saw had condition issues, but there were pristine pieces if you looked carefully. I had trouble getting the server in my car, and the shop's handyman kindly helped me tie up my trunk.

When I first inquired about buying the item I also requested a delivery fee quote. Having not received one I assumed the delivery was included. The item that I purchased weighed less than 1 pound. After almost 2 weeks wondering where my item was I inquired and found out that it had been left at a shipping facility awaiting my payment. The shipping cost was more than $30 for something that weighed less than a pound. I sent numerous emails and have received no satisfaction or even sympathy for having to pay such a ridiculous amount for such a small item. I would avoid doing business with this company at all cost especially if they have to ship something to you.
