Chuck is the main cabinet guy and he does a fantastic job. He was really upfront with what was necessary vs not (even if it meant they made less money) and did his best to give us all the possible options so that we could have the kitchen of our dreams. If there was ever any sort of issue, Chuck would call right away to tell us about it and tell us what to expect. One of the cabinets showed up the wrong size and chuck had a local cabinet maker come pick it up immediately and modify it so that it would work (he also gave us the option to get an entirely new cabinet). He was a dream to work with and we will definitely go back when we need to do any other remodels. I even went in there 4 months later and he remembered me by name and all about our project. Overall, fantastic service from Chuck! I was kind of surprised by the poor reviews when I came here to write one for Hayward, but it seems those bad reviews are specifically about the lumbar yard and the hardware store. I haven't had much interaction with the lumber yard and hardware store, but I get the feeling it's not a "consumer" place like Miner's or Home Depot - it's geared toward contractors who know what they're looking for and what they're doing. Regardless, the service we got from Chuck in the cabinet department was totally geared toward "consumers" and was perfect for us. The price was great, too!

Where to start? Hmmmmm .... We started looking for granite…read morefive years ago. Secondary to Covid, it was slim pickings and we put our project on the back burner. Fast forward to 2026 and not only was Suzanne able to help us again, she searched for the stone we originally liked, finding it in Bakersfield. Within the week our two precious slabs were sent to Arroyo Grande, awaiting a fabricator. Interestingly, Suzanne gave us the same fabricator's business card she had given us five years earlier! We called Augie from Quality Stoneworks and set up an appointment for estimation. He kept his appointment, listened to what we wanted, asked very appropriate questions and got us in his schedule. Today, the countertops were installed and Augie and his crew worked hard ALL day long. The crew was respectful of our property, answered questions as they arose and didn't mind us "watching over their shoulders." We know where seams in the granite countertops are located, but I don't think you'd ever find them. The meticulously matched backsplashes and countertop edges speak to the absolute perfection Augie demands. They transformed our kitchen and bathroom and we haven't even painted yet! I knew we liked this granite five years ago, but this fabricated and installed granite is absolutely unbelievable - thank you again Augie and crew, thank you Suzanne for sending us Augie's direction!
