I'm sorry I didn't meet Joe and retain him before the case manager in my brother's guardianship…read morehearing did. Joe was clearly the only one in court, beside me, who had any concern for the well-being of my brother. The case manager, who was assigned at the last minute and who didn't even have the courtesy or professionalism to call me prior to the hearing to introduce herself and tell me she was replacing the case manager who I had been working with for months, and who I expected to be there, had no game plan at the hearing. She never even bothered to introduce herself to me in court, prior to being called up. I was dumbfounded and confused, which didn't help our case. I've never been to court before, i was already nervous and I was speechless at the hearing, feeling left high and dry by the social workers who were supposed to be looking out for the best interest of my brother. Joe seemed to realize this as the hearing progressed. He was very familiar with the case and only because he was so insistent in his presentation to the judge, is there still a slim chance that my brother may actually have a guardian appointed in the future, who actually cares about his well-being. I'd hire Joe in a NY minute.

I thought my personal and business taxes were done correctly. Ramona found tax deductions that Turbo Tax missed. She not only did this year's taxes, she reviewed and fixed multiple years of Turbo Tax blunders. I ended up getting a total of over $10,400 back. This was life changing for my family and me. I will be her customer for years to come. She really knows her stuff. I enjoyed working with her too. I have recommended a number of my friends and co-workers to Ramona. Everyone is pleased. I will keep coming back.

Two years ago my fiance and I asked the owner Ramona if we got married would it effect my taxes…read more.. She replied "no, you can still file separately". Had she told me yes I would have been better prepared to get $3,000 less because I had to file jointly to get a child tax credit and would no longer qualify for the earned income tax credit. When she first told me my new amount I asked her what about what she said when we were in her office 2 years ago. She then reminded me of all the other things that brought me wealth by having a husband, such as our new home that we were building together. At this point I was biting my tongue, I was just wanting to get out of there. Later, when she is almost finished, Ramona asked me what was wrong... I told her I would most likely need to get a summer job now and I am trying to wrap my head around this. She informed me that maybe my husband would just give me ALL the taxes and I wouldn't need to worry about that. I chuckled and said that's not how it works and she told me " YOU CAN'T KEEP LIVING OFF THE GOVERNMENT". I WAS a loyal 5 year customer who trusted her on her word. I would not recommend her to anyone again.

My family has been using Alltax for over 30 years. Here's why:…read more Alltax has been a tax service since my grandfather moved to the east side after he got back from the war. Now, just because my grandfather used them isn't reason enough for me, but once I started working in high school, I realized why granddad used them. First, the service is excellent. Many of the agents have been there for decades, so there's a sort of personal connection there that I just wouldn't get with an HR Block-type firm. And given that they're a Michigan institution, their first priority seems to be service, not jacking up prices so high that they put a large dent in your returns. The agent determines how much your return costs; after developing relationships with our agents over the years, the cost of our returns has gone down, not up! I guess it's this kind of ethic that keeps me coming back; they THANK me for coming back each year, not only verbally, but financially as well. That's reason enough for me! Oh, and free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and cookies doesn't hurt either.

He gave me a direct cell number, and replied to EVERY panicked, confused, & questioning text that I sent his way. For at least 3/4 months until I was scheduled for court, I just know I was getting on his nerves, but he remained patient and reassuring. I happened upon him by a random google search so I could read reviews. I saw all good things, so I contacted him. When the time came to go to court, he was going to delegate me to an employee. I panicked & he rearranged it so that he, personally, would go to court with me. I appreciate and am so grateful for everything Cy did for me, beginning to end. I hope to never have to call him again but if I do, or if I can recommend him to someone else, Cy Abdo will be my call.
