Really disappointing experience. They advertise closing at 10 PM, but stopped selling games around 8:40 PM with no clear notice. The staff was unfriendly, the lanes were extremely dry, and everything felt overpriced for what you get. DRY LANES!!! They spare no expense on oiling the lanes and by no expense I mean they put ZERO OIL on the lanes. Every time I threw the ball I checked and there wasn't a single oil spot on the ball. No pattern, no trace, nothing. I asked the woman at the counter how often they oil and she told me for league and high school games they oil the lanes. But for open bowling they don't oil as often. She said it was a management decision. The special was 2 games for $9. Costly and Bowling World will not put you on a maintained lane if your not one of the regulars. I was actually told that only league and high school teams get oiled lanes. So for people wanting a fun activity to do in Ft. Smith look elsewhere. Bowling World is a terrible business and truthfully I hope they close soon. Also the arcade and pool area are empty. The entire place was dirty and disappointing. Shoes looked about 20 years old. Seriously go elsewhere. read more

We called ahead to ask about the prices and the person in the phone was pretty friendly. They said since it was a monday night it was pretty slow. We asked if it was alright if we played a game and they said that it was fine. We walked inside and was met by an unfriendly staff of kids. We asked for a game and they turned us away saying that they were closing early. We told them that we just talk to someone on the phone and they said it was fine if we came through. they ignored us and said that they didn't care and that they were still closing early so we could leave and they kicked us out at 8:40. read more

This place is alright for bowling when I am in the mood to bowl. One of the better ones in Fort Smith. So why the three star review you ask? I am an avid pool player and these tables are definately not the greatest. You definately dont want to use their sticks either. NONE of the are straight. They are bent, the tip is to hard, or they have just poor overall quality. So I would come here for bowling but definately not pool. Its just no fun if you dont have the right equipment. Tey have a cending machine with socks, and other small accessories for you bowlers out there. Leagues too, but none that I have personally been in. Usually their are young people working the front counter and Im never for certain what kind of customer service I am gonna get (nothing against their age of course). read more

Our family of three used to love going here, but over the years noticed that the customer service is non-existent and employees are rude as heck. If you have a problem, too bad. They have your money so you're just out of luck. Management isn't much better; it seemed when we did mention a problem we had with one of the employees, that it was an "us versus them" mentality. If I were the owner, I'd clean house from management down. Customers are THE reason any of those buffoons have their job. They need to be reminded of that. read more

We are new in town and came from a town that had bowling and leagues. My husband fortunately had checked it out and got some flyers from here prior to the weekend. We had company over the weekend and made plans to go on Sunday afternoon. We had nine in our group and got the pizza special. (Pizza and Pins). Granted we weren't drinking so we didn't have that expense but we all had a great time. Our ages ranging from 60 to 8, 8 adults and one child. We all agreed we would do that again. We had fun! And the pizza wasn't bad for one topping and it's size. 72 lanes compared to half that where we once lived. The young people that were working weren't real friendly/happy but neither am I. I was kind of surprised there was no vending machine or access to bowling items you could purchase. They did have socks. Thanks for being here Bowling World! read more

Hey YELP, How come a search for "BOWLING" in "Fort Smith Arkansas" doesn't show this venue as a result? Did Midland Bowl pay you guys off to not show it? I would like to go there soon. Some neighbours say it's nothing but trouble and some say it's the greatest thing since dark chocolate. What is your opinions? Lets see them on here. Has any Yelpers been here? My Update: I went there myself. Lots of special prices. Only loud days are friday and saturday evenings when the teen-agers congregate there. Went there on a Saturday night just me and the wife.. kinda nice not really crowded at all.. thing I didn't like is it's really dark in there... which makes it near impossible to find a ball when u first get there (lucky I had my phone flashlight) and while your bowling it has like runway lights flashing and distracting you. We've been to Bowling World many times but it has gone way down hill since the last time we visited. First off, they segregate the customers. If you are a family with kids or kids playing by themselves they put you on the butt end of the lanes. The "adults" all get the lanes closest to the bar. Ridiculous. We were so far away from the restaurant it made it a pain in the butt to order. Secondly,we originally got lane 68 but the gutter guard to help my daughter not get gutter balls did out come up on one side. Twice I walked clear to the cashier to get the customer service guy to come fix it. Then these brainiacs finally tell me that there is an intercom on my console to alert him if I need his help.It still did not work so they move us to lane 67 which had the same issue. The customer service guy fixes that one once and then says it should work but it never works. I have to manually go out and lift it every time my daughters turn comes up. Thirdly, the customer service dude who looks like a clone of Edward Nygma from Gotham hung around a 10 year old girl all night. It was very uncomfortable to witness and not only did me and my son think it was weird but so did the family next to us and the two girls on the other side. He followed her around all night and stayed at her lane as well. I have no idea if they knew each other or not, but it made all of us in the area uncomfortable. It was almost flirting behavior and not something I want to see when I go bowling with my family. Fourthly, we ordered food which was actually good but to see the people who work there doing jello shots behind the bar and in the kitchen area was gross. Terrible customer service and a useless manager. An employee earlier in the week explained a bowling/pizza deal to us over the phone twice, but didn't specify what days, so we assumed the deal was on all the time. We rushed nine adults and eleven kids there before 5pm so we could take advantage of the "deal". The manager was there and said he couldn't do anything. Our son, whose birthday it was, was very disappointed we couldn't stay to bowl. There was no apology from the manager for the misunderstanding. He was rude as well as one of his employees. A co worker took his family to Bowling World today. The gutter bumpers were requested since the young girls were frustrated. This request was refused. Not sure how many folks review Yelp posts, but the many co workers at the Mercy hospital and clinics will hear of this poor service the next couple weeks. read more
