My husband goes to Boots and purchases the medication and is only told that he should not take it for more than 3 days because it is addictive. When you're coping with poor health, little things like bedside manner make all the difference. But this is all too easily forgotten. This is a small, but excellent pharmacy. It's a family business and this creates a nice atmosphere…read morethat shines through whenever you stop by - the staff is always friendly, helpful and 100% competent at their jobs. Considering that it's such a small pharmacy in an otherwise not very lively street (there area few small shops and Pennine Drive Surgery doctor's office nearby, but that's it), I think the opening hours are quite good - during the week, they stay open until 7pm, and on Saturdays, they are open until 1pm. If you are a patient of the Pennine Drive Surgery, when you ask for prescriptions, you can just tick a box asking for the prescription to be delivered straight to this pharmacy, and pick your medication straight there. As the surgery is not open on Saturdays, but the pharmacy is, this has saved me many times when I needed a prescription urgently.
