Of course you can schedule an appointment, but the walk in feature is super convenient when you're like me and forget to get your hair cut until you need to go somewhere (e.g. a family event where your mom will not so subtly wish that you had a haircut). All super professional barbers that will follow your direction (or will tell you what they think is best if you ask). An added bonus is that they cut kids' hair if you have children this is a huge bonus. Great place all in all. Additionally, the location is fantastic in Wash Park.

I go in for a clean up, which turned into half of my beard being gone, while leaving a long goatee. I thought I'd let it grow out a bit, and it wasn't a super big deal. But when I get home and lived with the beard a little longer, I saw a full clippers width of hair missing on the underside of my neck and how uneven and thin everything looked. I ended up shaving it as it really didn't not look great. And that was months of growth I had worked on.

Barber Edge is located in a house facing Green Street and has plenty of parking in the back. John is a great guy and I especially enjoyed the conversation. He is incredibly detail oriented and asked me questions about my hair style and skin care regimen that I quite honestly had never given much thought. Immediately, I established a camaraderie with the staff, having Sheree and the other two female barbers giggling while they all worked on us fellas, which proved that this barbershop had a welcoming atmosphere. If you need a reasonably priced good quality cut and appreciate efficiency I'd recommend trying them out.
