I say it isn't ready, but we don't know since he will not respond to calls or texts. He did fix my phone screen and the turn around was fast; however, the work on 2 laptops belonging to my husband hasn't worked out so well. We know he has been sick; however, we would just appreciate an acknowledgement that he still has one of our laptops and the charges have already been paid. He required full payment up front, so that is what we did. The work he did on my husband's first laptop cannot be "recognized" by the laptop, so $250 down the drain. Now we don't know the status of the second one he has had since January, but we paid $150 up front. Thus, the one star rating.

Thought it was odd, but my son didn't mind so whatever. Fast forward a month or two and the phone completely stops turning on. I have a professional background in repairing Apple devices so I decided to just fix it myself when I got the time. Well, I finally got a chance to open it up and as soon as I did, two tiny screws fell out. I assume those go to the home button assembly, as the assembly and home button are completely loose and the only thing holding that in is the frame of the phone. Less important but still notable - the frame was also missing one of the bottom screws. Upon further inspection, the battery cable was not completely attached which explains why it wouldn't turn on at all. It was also missing the plate that goes over the battery cable. I reconnected the battery completely and was able to get it to boot up but now it's stuck in a boot loop. I have never seen such sloppy work and can't believe they thought it appropriate to charge for such work. I feel extremely ripped off.

A Comparison of Two Computer Services…read more I went in to Megabite today with an older HP computer that needed a new ethernet card. The tech in that store, Deryck Burnett, was exceptionally rude and condescending. It was made clear he did not have the part I needed, and he had no intention of ordering or installing it. I was told I overpaid for my computer- that it obviously isn't worth much. I tried to tell him it had simple duty as a basic tool for my 84 yo mother. He interrupted and said his mother is 80, "so that's not an excuse." He then found the part on Amazon and in a condescending manner, asked if I knew how to order things on my phone. I left with a piece of paper with the part I needed scribbled on it. The second tech in the store seemed to be willing to be helpful, but he wasn't encouraged to come forward. From there, I went to GoPC. I was greeted with smiles. I was informed that because they are down to one tech, Raymond, they were only accepting business accounts right now, but, "Let's see what we can do to help you." While the tech was working, I shared my experience with Megabite just minutes before. They did not seem surprised, just an exchange of glances between them. Within 15 minutes, my computer had its new Ethernet card and I was out the door. I will never forget either business. Thank you so much, GoPC, for stepping up during your lunch time in the middle of a very busy day. I really appreciate your humanity, pleasant attitudes, and help!

I took my PC to Go PC a year ago for a rebuild. The rebuild was to include an SSD, which later I…read morecouldn't find when doing a diagnostic through Bel Arc Advisor. I had some issues with the PC within 3 months. At that time I was in another state and had to let them repair it remotely. The issue was theirs, yet they wanted to bill me and I refused. They said no worries since it was their issue. I came back into town about 6 months later, and the same PC crashed. I took it to them and was told that the sound board was loose and they tightened it up at a cost of $90.00.....ok. I got it home and plugged it in and immediately got a diagnostic screen. I called and was told to simply reboot it; I did and it seemed fine. I didn't use it for a few days afterward but when I started it up, I got the same diagnostic screen. I rebooted it and after about an hour I got a White screen with dotted horizontal lines. My mouse and keyboard wouldn't work, so I did a hard reboot.... Black screen. BTW, this was why I took it to them and was charged the $90.00. I called and spoke to the same tech who charged me the 90 and he said it would cost me another $90.00 to look at it again. NOT HAPPY. I would never use them again!
