Every time I go to Bova's Hardware I find them to be very helpful and courteous. They always seem to have what I need and on the very rare occasion they don't they promptly order it and I have it in a couple days. Nice store for our community. read more

We are a small town, family owned & operated business with great customer service! We have a little bit of everything, and if we don't have it, we can usually order it for you. We sell: steel, pipe, keys, send & receive faxes, make and repair hydraulic hoses, make copies, sell welding supplies, forestry supplies such as grading sticks and cant and peavey hooks and handles, hoses, rope, bolts, nails, screws, tools, paint, gloves, v-belts, pulleys, and bearings, pet supplies, grass seed, and much more!

History

Established in 1989.

This hardware has changed hands countless times in the history of our small town. John Bova acquired the hardware store from Herbert Most in 1989, when it changed its name from Most Hardware to Bova's Hardware. The Bova family has since expanded the business to include the store properties adjacent to the original store to increase the store's total square footage significantly. The store is still owned by John Bova and his wife, Kim, and is run by John and his oldest daughter, Kelsey.

They sharpen all sorts of blades, be they knife, scissor, chain or lawn mower, and fix not only all the things that they sell but even most of the things that don't sell. I've been using Howe's, a family owned operation since they first opened decades ago, having them repair all sorts of things from generators to chainsaws for me, and I've always been more than pleased with their friendly family type of service plus the good information they have given me concerning anything or any hardware problem I might have. They have everything from bird feeders, to rodent traps and from nuts to bolts to barbecue sets; way too many to list. This is a hardware store for which the big box hardware, such as Lowe's, shouldn't present any competition threat since the big box places can't even come close to the services provided by Howe's. I'm rating them Five Stars because as far as hardware and go services go, Howe's really is WooHoo! As good as it gets.
