I can see why this company has such poor ratings. I have bought and sold over 12 properties since 2013, this by far is the worst company to deal with. Ed Mclaughlin is a criminal and I don't know how he manages to still have a business. My wife and I purchased a home in November 2023, with the understanding ,which was agreed to and signed on the contract that an electrical issue with the house we were buying was to be fixed by a licensed electrician. A month after closing when I had a contractor in to remodel, we came to find out the problem was not fixed just hidden and actually deemed more unsafe then was before. Also, come to find out that the so called electrician he uses is a "handyman" that is not licensed or insured. Live wires were left dangling hidden under drop ceiling where my three small children sleep. I then reached out to this so called real estate agent and of course he states its our problem now nothing more he can do and I'm left with a massive invoice for an electrician to make my house safe for my three small children. I would be very cautious when buying or renting houses with this companies name attached to it. They perform work on their properties that is not up to standard codes or even done by licensed professionals, just to be able to make a sale or rent the property. Take my advice, if your looking at a property they have think twice, I would hate to see this happen to anyone else. read more

this is by far the worst rental company i have ever dealt with. 1. it took them 30 days to return my security deposit. 2. they deducted 4 days from deposit because i wanted to make sure everything was in perfect condition after being their 6 years and making an unscheduled move. 3. they charged me a processing fee for returning my own money. don't i repeat don't deal with bovard anderson unless you want to get ripped off. read more

Bovard Anderson has terrible customer service. You. An email them and they never get back to you. But as soon as you are 5 days late on your rent, there is a letter at your door. Really?! Not a good rental agency at all! The only person I came into contact with that was the lady at the front desk in the office. The rest have no personal skills. read more

I have a property that is managed by this company for a little over a year now. While the agent responsible for overseeing this property and coordinating the rental efforts is an absolute gem, my experience with most everyone else at this agency (including the co-owner) has been less than stellar. I find that a vast majority of the employees lack communication skills and professionalism, as they are almost always abrupt and rude to both me and my tenants. I also find that the maintenance department rarely if ever notifies me of any problems reported by my tenant, even though my property management agreement states they are to call me prior to making repairs so I can file a claim with my homeowner's warranty provider. As a result, they have cost me thousands of dollars in repair costs that would've been covered by the warranty provider. Additionally, they do not enforce the tenants compliance with the terms of the rental agreement nor do they properly address tenant-landlord issues, and that has resulted in unnecessary costs being incurred for items the tenant was responsible for paying as identified in the agreement. I have that property listed for sale now because they are the only agency in the area that manages properties, and I simply do not want to continue doing business with them. read more

Does anyone actually work here? I've tried several times to view rental properties, even had an appointment set up to do so, but nothing came of it. Traveled from Carnegie to Beaver just to have to turn around because the landlords of all the properties were conveniently unavailable/sick that day. Not to be deterred I asked to be called when it was actually possible to see the rentals. 2 months later I've found another rental without the help of Bovard Anderson. Not worth the headache, don't give them a chance. read more

Every property we looked at was listed with misinformation. On their website it lists appliances and sun porches etc.. but when you get to these locations or call one of these people they play dumb and act like they have no idea what you're talking about. not only that..after you call to look at a place for the price they have rent listed at... their "agents" raise the rent. Then when you ask them about it...you get an attitude. because after all you ARE beneath them. Will NEVER use them again for anything. read more
