So many terrible puppy mills & mis-bread animals to avoid! Dunebridge (Karen) was without question the best we found! She finds the time to be thorough in not only the adoption process, but at every stage leading up to it and after. Karen is the most genuine dog lover and will make sure that she provides answers, resources and support at any stage to ensure her dogs are not only in a good home, but remain properly cared for by helping the families even after the adoption with anything they need. She was wonderful about sending info & photos before the puppies were old enough to be released. We already felt so connected with ours before we even met her in person! (She will not take a pup from its mother too early. Another sign of a wonderful breeder!) She sent us with an info packet of everything we asked about, would want or need to know and what to expect. We felt prepared for vet visits and have maintained support for questions that arise. She does not push her luck with which dogs should or shouldn't be bread, physically or emotionally. She genuinely wants what is best for all her dogs (no matter if they stay or go). If something didn't work out for you with your dog, she asks that you return it to her instead of a shelter or worse. She will rescue those in need. Her prices are very fair for these dogs and you can be sure the breeding process has no corners cut to save money. The pups that leave her are AKC certified, purebread, and of parents with OFA certified healthy joints. These costly tests and precautions give your dog a life expectancy of 10-15 years versus most large breed dog breeders who cut corners in breeding that can cut your dogs life expectancy in HALF! Karen is nothing short of a 5 star breeder! We will be getting another from her and only her as soon as we're ready!

She gave us a ton of information, told us where she would be the next day with phone number of the other store so we could reach out to her with any additional questions. She actually just texted me with pictures of the parents of the goldendoodle we purchased (it's after 7pm). I did call the store one day when Allison was out and Pete answered the phone, he wanted to know how the dog was doing, said he has been with the store for decades and if we need anything to just call him. GREAT STAFF. We were talking to some breeders directly and the communication was horrible. Gary has some great employees. Even the woman who bathed and did our dog's claws after purchase clearly LOVED dogs. Very positive store experience. The Neutral: My dog, as others have mentioned was timid and easily startled when first home, but I think that's normal. He's only 10 weeks old, arrived from Missouri only a week before. That's a lot of changes for a little guy. So we have been making sure to keep the house a little quieter and trying to not make noise when he is eating. Basically like the instructions from Gary (Owner) say, no playing or excitement for 3 days. It's day 3 now and the dog (Reilly) is really much more active, running around the house, eating better, and seems to be adapting well to us and the house. The unexpected: Day 3, the little guy seems to have developed a cough. Could be from the stress of the move, he didn't seem to have this when we brought him home. I spoke to Allison about this and was told we would be reimbursed if we were unable to get back up to CT to see their Vet. (We are an hour away). Update: He seems a little better today, he has his check-in/check-up anyway so we just moved up the date at the vet to make sure he's on the right track. I am sure he will be fine. The less positive: When we originally called on the phone, we were told one general price from the Owner for the dogs were were interested in. At checkout the dog price increased more than 50%. We were able to negotiate, but we felt it could have been handled better. The only reason we feel we didn't overpay is because the service and aftercare have been wonderful. And when you get a 10-11 week old baby, believe me you will have questions. This is my third dog, but I quickly realized pups this young are infants, more vulnerable, do more dumb things, eating well and not getting sick is really important.

He's the best boy…read more However, still haven't received Pedigree records (at the time of purchase, a woman told me she had the paper but couldn't find it, and she'd call me the following day regarding when I can pick it up) and he came home with Giardia and they still haven't reimbursed me for the vet costs despite providing all documentation as proof. Customer service lacks but they have great puppies if you're looking to add to your fur family.
