Arden has clothes and accessories for young women and teens. I was specifically looking for the LaurDIY collection and they were fully stocked with a sale. I got what I was looking for and also bought a few pairs of cute socks. I felt like a high school student spending all of my allowance while my parents waited outside for me. I would have bought a lot more clothes and knick knacks if I weren't on a budget. Everything was too cute and fun. The credit card machines were broken at the time I was there and I surrendered all my CAD. Thus, the end of my shopping experience.

A small store with a very grand vision. Like another Yelper said, when you walk into Les Étoffes…read moreyou really sense that you are entering the store's world. The colors (black, rust, navy, cream), the layout, and the clothes themselves all go together. The feeling is warm and inviting, so you want to go explore all the pieces on display. I used to sell yarn and fabric, so I loved the different textures and materials on display, from a luxuriously dense knit sweater to an elegant silk blouse. The design of each item was trendy but approachable -- I am a jeans and t-shirt kinda lady but I saw things I would wear. So why didn't I come home with a whole new wardrobe? Price, of course, sigh. Les Étoffes is definitely a special-occasion boutique, and alas I was only sightseeing. While I was there, though, a young man was trying on shirts and mentioned that he was making his first L.E. purchase. It seemed like he'd been looking forward to that day for a while.

I love going into check out the store for great bargains on shoes, dresses and coats. Often you'll see an item online but you need to call to hold it. Or go into the store often immediately their pieces sell out so fast. After trying a few items on I could see what the hype was all about. Also as a tall woman of 6 feet I appreciate the length in their items and the great fit to my body. However, their is only a few changerooms which are usually full and taken when you go into the business. Also you are parked on the street at St. Laurent sometimes the parking can be difficult to find and task worthy to add more time to the meter while changing and trying on different outfits. The prices on some items are quite high but some of them are reasonable. Some people also try items on and wreck them. I fell in love with a pink coat and they would only give me 10 % off. I don't know how to sew so it wasn't worth it. Overall it is a definite try. The clothing is amazing and classy. Go and see for yourself.
