We stopped by unexpectedly after our hiking plans were rained out, and were very glad we did! We got discounted tickets with our Swiss travel pass and decided to check out the main museum. We spent most of our time in the energy, train, and car sections of the museum. For a weekday afternoon near closing time, it was not crowded at all so we were able to see everything we wanted. Some of the highlights are the various railroad cars - it was so interesting to see how the appearances differed across centuries! The huge model trainset would be a lot of fun for kids. We were also struck by the wide selection of cars across centuries, and the machinery that brings them up and down so you can see them more closely. The simulation experiences are really cool for all ages, we learned a lot about the different forces at play during the crash test. The museum of mirrors was also a hit - it was so much fun trying to figure out what is mirror and what is not. All in all a great experience, I only wish we could have spent longer there before it closed to check out more of the ships and aviation sections of the museum. It is a delight for all ages and very educational.

It was super fun, covered in classic European patterns on the walls and in the architecture, but then reflected everywhere within the mirror maze. It made for some very cool photos. You can definitely get lost in the hallways and reflections, so you can spend some time here. We also did see a few kids running around, not paying attention where they were going, and smacking face-first into the mirrors - so be aware of that, and watch your kids (and yourself) - and don't get hurt! It's a pretty fun time to go through the mirror maze, but once you're done with that, there's not a ton else to do here once you're done with that. But it's worth a short visit and photo stop.

No bags allowed inside, but they provide free lockers, so lock your valuables and leave your stroller outside. The little kid in me had so much fun playing on the swing. Most importantly, this is one of the few places in Switzerland that actually has AC!!! So if the heat wave hits, and you need to cool off, come here! Took one star from them because there was a military related tent displaying old documentary, except the display has fresh red paint that's not dry. While I really didn't read the wet paint sign, I don't think you should put it on display until it's dry. It was a piece of cloth that can be moved after it's dried...

There are also some grounds to explore and, for me, the views and vistas of the lake to take in.
