There is a policy to wait 20 min but the staff don't pay attention to times and you can wait anywhere from 30-35 min before your name is 'called' to leave. Unfortunately I'm stuck here but I would not recommend.

I called them and I wanted to cancel my sessions with them and not continue. I spoke with the billing department manager and I told them that I will not continue and they told me they would waive the bill for me and said don't worry about it will waived the bill for you and I explain another bill what about the first visit I wanna make sure it was taking care of and the person I spoke over the phone said to me that "don't worry about it will take care of it" and I thought it was resolved and after that the next following weeks they called me that I needed to pay for it. I was not happy with their process at all. After calling back they told me they would not waive anything, and are attempting to charge my hundreds of dollars when I was told it would all be covered by insurance and then waived. Avoid this place due to their shady practices.

I have no idea why I was forced to go here as a minor nor do I understand why the rest of my family…read morekeeps going. I have experienced neglect, harassment, and discrimination from Dr. Volz or his wife, Laura. Despite immunology being a specialty and a textbook case, Dr. Volz neglected for over 22 years to diagnose my mother, my sister, or I with an immune deficiency. When my sister was finally diagnosed, he neglected to mention that it was genetic and that the rest of us should get tested. Turns out my mother and I also have the same exact immune deficiency. Dr. Volz would harass me about allergy shots and my asthma symptoms at every visit. I would, at every visit, turn down allergy shots, request that he not ask any more, and told him that if I ever changed my mind I would let him know. Also, I don't, nor have I ever had, asthma. The final straw was when Dr. Volz's wife, Laura discriminated against me. I have progressive hearing loss as a side effect from my immune deficiency (hmm, I wonder if I would not be going deaf had I gotten proper medical care here?), which is in my chart and on their paperwork. Because of this, I need to use alternative telecommunication methods. Laura straight up refused to communicate with me except by oral phone call, which is illegal under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the Telecommunications Act of 1996. As a cherry on top, Laura then mailed out paperwork to my parents about privacy and permissions regarding communication with me (HIPPA violation, anyone? I was 22).

I was told he is an allergist but have no way of confirming this because the person answering the phone isn't really sure. its really annoying. Whatever I ask, the answer is: Ummm...OK...uhhh...well.... I'm not sure....maybe......silence......so what do you want.......do you want to make an appointment. Yeah. Like I wanna pay a $40 specialist copay to find out if he's an allergist or not and can perform a specific test. Anyhow, I finally ended up going, the Doc is OK and does an OK job at explaining your condition but the Bfld office and building are kind of run down. All in all would not recommend.

I decided at that point that grass and I were not friends. A year ago I went camping and we stayed next to a big grassy field, and I had another pretty major allergy attack. At that point I decided I wanted to try to work my way around my grass allergies. Six months ago I went to Denver Valley Asthema and Allergy and had an assessment, and they verified what I already knew, I am extremely allergic to grass pollen. We discussed the options, and I started allergy shots. A little over six months later (when I reached the end of my allergy shot ramp up and hit the maintenance dose) we were looking to buy a house, and we found one with basically everything on our checklist, but also a grassy yard. While I was worried about grass allergies, I figured a landscaper isn't a huge expense, but not something I wanted to deal with if I didn't have to. Here we are, three new-home lawn mowing experiences later, and I successfully finished the latest mowing experience without any protection at all, and with only the slightest tingling in my nose. This is an incredible hurdle to have passed. Thank you so much Denver Valley Asthma and Allergy!
