Another Friday Friesdsy. This Friday the wife and I decided to try another of the touted, "Best…read moreFrites in Brussels" spots. After last Friday's disappointment at Frit' Flagey, we were really hoping for some redeemable fries and this lead us to Friterie Saint-Josse. When we arrived there were a few people in line and a boy in the fritkot who took our order. I ordered my typical small fries with andalouse sauce. The wife got a small with tartare. It didn't take too long, maybe four or five minutes before we were fries in hand. Right of the bat, these were cheaper than Frit' Flagey and Fritland and we received your standard portion. The sauces, though still not homemade, were head and shoulders above Frit' Flagey. Our fries weren't over fried, they were crispy and delicious. The fries themselves I would compare and put on the same level as Fritland, maybe better, but the wife said she preferred the sauces at Fritland. All in all, these are great fries. It gets a four star review from me because Frites Atelier is the best of the best so far, and without homemade sauces, it's hard to give it five stars. If you're in the area, definitely worth a visit.

No wonder why this tiny box, whether it is during the freezing winter or during the humid summer, is always full of people. They don't have only chips. Croquettes de crevette (my favourite treat), cheese, frikandels, chicken wings etc...It's a take away, but a quality one. The family who runs it is always super nice and work constantly. Great for a pre-dinner snack or for a lazy Sunday evening meal.

The staff helped us order and spoke English. They even recommended a great beer which now is my husband's favorite. He would give it five stars for the beer alone but honestly the place was just ok. Convenient, nice, filling, basic. Go here if you hapoen to be in the area because there is not much else in the immediate neighborhood.

Then while making me move made me order while I'm moving. Then forgot my order so I had to ask for it, making me stress because I had to make an appointment. Then came out with the ice and water. 5minutes later the bread. The ice is melting and after finally asking where my soup is 1 more time, they bring out a scorching hot soup while my ice has melted and water is warm, and the soup is really not nice. An undescribed coconut corn soup is not what you want or expect when ordering the soup of the day. Really unfortunate lunch time and never going back there again.

Great little lunch spot…read more I've been to Caberdouche a few times and was very happy. The ambiance is upscale, casual, and clean. Service is decent. They have rotating daily specials. The menu includes a lot of healthy options, like salads and vegetarian platters, but you can also go for something heavy. It's an excellent choice if you feel like going out but want to keep up with your diet.

But I decided to give them another change and last Sunday I went there with two friends. The decor is, well, interesting. In those nice days the back room with the big windows is pleasent, though. The service (and the owner) were friendly this time, also good! On the food side we go a meze to share, a fish, a moussaka and a shrimp dish. All were very big and tasty. It's nothing spectacular but simple home cooking. Next time we will take only one dish each because we could not finish our plates! the house wine was nice and cheap! Extra point for the offered digestiv at the end!

At first we were happy with the starter, we talked we should find it earlier and we could visit very often after tonight. The lamp is ok. But the yaourt, I prefer Greek yaourt very much, and expected we could have a good meal tonight. But I found worms on the nuts in the yaourt. I called the staff( I think she is the owner's wife), she said she can not see the worms and called the owner, he just mixed the nuts and yaourt, so we could not see the worms. I said I could not accept it. Then he left without apologize. It's shame. I never thought it would happen in a descent restaurant. I am regret I didn't take picture of the worms.
