Firstly, the air conditioning in my room did not work. Not having AC in Spain is actually quite common, but they do have AC. The one in my room in particular just didn't work. There are NO windows in the room to open. So overall, it was extremely hard to sleep because the room was super stuffy and hot. Secondly, the night shift staff isn't attentive or helpful. People were ringing the bell to be let into the hostel, the front desk person heard the bell but just let it ring. I literally watched him sit and let the bell ring while people where standing outside to be let into the hostel they're paying to stay in. It's ok on cleanliness. Great on location. Everything else is super meh. I'm not a fan and would never stay here again.

He lives on the same street and you just have to let him know what time you'll arrive or text/call/email him when you do. Immediately he'll give a short spiel about the city and things to do as he shows you to your room. He is fluent in Italian, Spanish, and English. The building is near the edge of the old part of Valencia and is only a few minutes from all major attractions. At the same time, it's located in the residential neighborhood so there aren't tourists walking around late at night and things are pretty quiet. The rooms themselves are small. We stayed in a double with two twins pushed together and a private bathroom. Everything seemed very new and the beds were super comfy. It has all the necessities of a hotel, but in a small room. It's a good size for a solo traveller or couple. Luckily it comes at a cheap price. We only paid 30 Euros a night over a holiday break. Be sure to book early as these rooms go pretty fast! A hostel with attention to the detail. Nice and open minded guests. Building and location: The hostel is situated in the old town of valencia in a quater which streets are manly croweded by natives. Next to the hostel is a old church and a beautiful livly square. Due to this there is some noise even late at night. A supermarket, a grocery and many restaurants and bars are in the near surroundings. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the heart of the city an the famous cathedral of valencia. Staff: The staff is very friendly and has lots of helpful insider-tips. Room: We booked a private room with two beds. The Room was bisically furnished but clean. Bathroom: There is one unisex bothroom on every floor with seperated shower cabins. The lavatorys are sufficiently clean. Other equipment: There is a nice and well equipped kitchen and a common room which is furnished with attention to the detail. Unfortunately there are some flies in the kitchen but it still appears to be clean.
