It's BP. Basic and low expectations. Happily this one is better than that; over-working and under-staffed the crew here is fast, friendly, professional and the food is consistently made to a high standard. Example: onion rings with Sriracha last night during playoffs was perfect; the way onion rings should be. Shared and got unsolicited positive reviews. Happens every time so we return with confidence. Chef is one of those golden happy weirdos who just enjoy cooking good food and making people happy. read more

We orders our drinks, then we orders a starter and then one pepperoni pizza. We get the starter and then we finish it. Then we wait for 40 minutes for the pepperoni pizza. So we ask where is it and the damn waiter forgot our pizza, us tired of waiting just left the place. Terrible service. Also another big thing is that we can tell when the employees are being racist pigs. Acting like we're fucking aliens or something, giving us the ODD treatment. read more

Went there last night after not being there in a long time. Our server was friendly but she had a bad cold and was sniffling. The place was mostly empty yet we still waited quite awhile for anyone to get drink orders. We had a two year old with us who was doing great but like any two year old started getting unsettled as we waited for our server to come and get our order. When the food came they completely forgot the spaghetti. I had to wave the girl down to ask where it was. She then apologized and said it would be right up. We shared what they had brought between the 3 of us and then the spaghetti showed up. I'm no chef but i am guessing it hadn't even been started when the earlier part had even came out. She apologized and said she would ask her manager for a discount. I told her to put it in a to go box without even having a bite. When we got to the til there was no discount. I handed her the spaghetti and said that we wouldn't be taking it and to remove it from the bill, which she did. We left with a bad taste in our mouth. In today's economy people work hard for their money and deserve a good experience when dropping it at your establishment and we clearly didn't. read more

I've always relied on Boston Pizza when I'm out of town and there are not yet any Yelp reviews to help me find a good place to eat. I was disappointed in my experience at the BP's in Wetaskiwin. Having lived in Alberta my entire life, BP's and I have come to a certain understanding. They have hearty pasta and good pizza and when I'm hungry, I go there to eat it. That's been the arrangement since my high school rugby days in Wetaskiwin when we'd hit BP's after a game. Recently, they've changed their menu. With fancy laminated pages and big pictures, the menu items remain consistent from Wetaskiwin to Calgary to Saskatoon. With 4 other people with me, we got a decent sampling of the menu. Two rice bowls, a jambalaya, some penne and lasagna between us, we were a hungry bunch. One rice bowl came out cold with crunchy rice, half cooked rice and only a dollop of the chicken/prawn goodness that was supposed to adorn it. It was sent back. The other meals were warm, although not hot, and nobody else really had any complaints, but I must say, the lasagna dish wasn't as deep and delicious as it once was. For a small town BP's, it was alright. But like I said, it's not what it used to be. I will say, though, that for having a staff of high school kids serving in the restaurant, they did a good job. Kudos to them for being attentive and on the ball. read more

My husband and I have never had a problem with this bps, the servers in the lounge are fast and friendly.

Last time we were in the service was terrible, food was bland and underwhelming. I usually choose BP's as a "good ol' standby" so hopefully this one experience was just a blip on the radar. read more

Went to BP Lounge for lunch for Pasta Tuesday. Pizza bread never disappoints and BP has the best dipping meat sauce. Jambalya portion was ridiculously oversized. Disappointed in the pasta. It was overcooked - kinda gummy/wormy. Definitely not al dente. Jambalya sauce was too spicy (yes I know it is supposed to be but I found it excessively so) and the shrimp was tiny and mushy. There were other mushy ingredients in the sauce but I am not sure what they were. Oh, the chairs were very uncomfortable - I had to sit really still to keep from tipping out of the chair. They could also use a few more lights in there as I had a tough time reading the menu. Sadly, I will be passing on Wetaskiwin's BP for a while. read more

I would NOT recommend the wetaskiwin boston pizza, service sucks everytime I go in there, you can really tell that nobody wants to work there, takes forever to get your order, food isn't always cooked properly. Food is cold. There is no such thing as customer service in this boston pizza. Id rather drive 20 mins to the leduc boston pizza. read more

I ordered the beef dip and it was the worst sandwich I've ever had! The beef is supposed to be sliced thin, but instead it was just a few 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick slabs of meat thrown onto a bun. It was truly horrible. The service was rather slow as well. I'll not be going back again, not when there's other restaurants in town that try harder. read more

This place needs to get rid of some of their immature high school girls waiting tables or put them in the back. We took my mom there for her birthday and because one of the waitresses had an attitude with me because I wrote her up in school when she was in grade 8 because she "called me on"...she yapped to a few of the other girls and no one came to our table for an hour. As we got up to leave a young man, who we also knew came and served us and said she was a trouble maker. My fiance finally had enough of the high school cattiness and snotty looks and talked to the shift manager and he might have taken care of it....not sure. My mom is also good friends with the owners mother and the co-owner so she talked to them just to let them know about the poor service and the business they might be losing. My daughters are young and were starving and this turned into the worst experience ever. Last weekend we went with some friends to have dinner and drinks, walked in and the same girl was at the front with 3 other girls....same thing....snot looks and not one asked us if we needed a seat so we just went into the lounge. I won't go into the restaurant again. The lounge staff were AWESOME! Service was great and they were friendly and GROWN UP. Too bad we can't take my kiddos to the restaurant because they love the food.... read more
