Had a great time at the out door bar. Great service and great food. The eggs Benedict were delicious.

A new bright star has opened on the Treasure Coast! A beautiful historic building, built in 1909 and stunning from the outside. Open the door and you are transported back in time to a beautifully decorated parlor room with small booths and tables. The chef has carefully crafted a wonderful menu. We had 3 appetizers and 1 entree and shared a dessert. The soup de jour was a Tomato Purée, which was very good, the Cheddar Bacon Biscuits were delicious and the Truffle Caviar Deviled Eggs were amazing. Our entree was a 10 oz Wagyu Sirloin which was good, though a little tasteless. And the Crème Brûlée was outstanding. Service was excellent, prices are reasonable and the experience was fabulous. Upstairs there is a fabulous "Speak Easy" and the is also outside seating and a bar. If you are local, this will become your new favorite restaurant and if you are visiting the Treasure Coast, this is a must visit restaurant. Made a reservation for 6:30 and arrived early to check things out. Went upstairs to the "Speakeasy", which was a cute little bar. It took the bartender quite a while to offer service, but we ordered a couple of drinks while waiting for friends. $16/drink, which is up there, but the drinks were good. Our friends arrived and it again took a while for them to be served. Went down for dinner about 6:40, where we were seated outside. The Intracoastal is visible from our seats, so the view was nice. Our server came by and that was when the wheels came off. A nice enough young guy who had very little knowledge of the menu. I ordered a New England Chowder to start, but Boston House put their own spin on it. It had so many mushrooms that it was more like cream of mushroom. Even cream of mushroom would have had fewer shrooms. For dinner, I had fish and the ladies ordered salads. The fish was good, but bland, and $48 for a piece of bland fish is not a great buy. The salads were small, but decent. Order coffee at the end, which came out lukewarm. All in all, about $400 including the Speakeasy. Probably will not return for dinner. read more

First time visiting, and here are my first impressions! This restaurant is located in Fort Pierce with a beautiful view of the Intracoastal. I arrived around 3:30 p.m. and was able to find a few parking spots right alongside the house. They offer happy hour from 3-5 p.m., but don't expect huge discounts--it's only a few dollars off select food and drinks. I decided to dress up a little and wore wedges. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. The ground outside is extremely uneven, so if you're wearing heels, be careful. As I walked toward the outdoor bar, my foot landed between the concrete and the artificial grass, and I almost fell right in front of a group of people. Luckily, I caught myself! The crazy part was that about an hour later, another woman nearly tripped around the same area. The outdoor bar is a great size, and Bryan, the bartender, was fantastic. He was incredibly busy but still friendly and attentive. Since I was there by myself before meeting my group, I ended up chatting with a regular named Michael, which made the wait enjoyable. I ordered the Rosé Spritz followed by the White Spritz. They were $10 during happy hour and normally around $13, which is pretty standard. Our reservation for six was at 5:00 p.m. We were seated inside at a table in the corner. It felt a little tight, but it worked out fine. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. I love that it's set inside such a historic home, and they did an amazing job preserving its charm. Our server seemed a little overwhelmed, and service was on the slow side. There were also a few moments where we weren't sure he fully understood what we were asking. For appetizers, we ordered the lobster rolls, which were surprisingly tiny for the price. We also ordered the deviled eggs, which came with only five halves. Since there were six of us, we asked if they could bring one additional half--even if they charged us for it--but apparently that wasn't possible. It just seemed like an odd situation when one extra half would have let everyone at the table have one. For dinner, I shared the gumbo with my girlfriend because we had been told the portion was huge. We also ordered a side of mashed potatoes, which were absolutely delicious. One of my girlfriends ordered the tuna tartare, and we all ended up trying the crispy white chip that came with it. It was unique and really good. The only confusing part of the evening came when our separate checks arrived. The credit card numbers printed on the receipts didn't match the cards we had used, although everyone was charged the correct amount. We spent several minutes trying to figure it out before finally deciding it wasn't worth stressing over. After dinner, we headed upstairs to the speakeasy, and that's where the night really took off. Daniel was an amazing bartender who made fantastic cocktails and kept the atmosphere fun. We spent a couple of hours upstairs, hung out on the balcony, and had an absolute blast. Overall, this was a really enjoyable experience. Between the waterfront setting, the historic house, and the speakeasy upstairs, this place has a lot of charm and personality. Sadly a mixed however honest review after our almost $500 dining experience for my daughter and I. I was truly hoping to give a 5 star rating. I had highly anticipated our visit since I found out it was to become a restaurant. I was interested in the social club as I was looking for another great spot to bring my musician touring friends and clients when they pass through our Treasure Coast. I had sent 2 emails in November of 2025 inquiring, those emails are still left unanswered. I was excited to try all the new restaurant had. I followed a lot of the reviews and decided to wait a month. I had emailed management a few days prior to our reservation to inquire if the scratch kitchen had the ability to cater to food allergies. I had hoped to ensure my food allergies did not throw the kitchen for a loop on a busy Saturday night. I was emailed back by Scott that concierge would be reaching out shortly, however I did not hear back. I emailed again noting the allergies and no response. I had read up on chef Angela's experience as a sauce forward chef. Dining globaly I have become a "sauce queen". My favorite is well curated sauces with hand selected inspired ingredients. I was delighted to see the fresh catch on the menu listing pumpkins seeeds, apple, and a sherry sauce. I thought certainly that would elevate the fish entree with the savory and fruit-based artisan dinner dish. We were instructed we could sit at the outer tables. Both bartenders were friendly and smiling and made drinks deliciously. I had ordered an apple cider drink and added vodka. My daughter enjoyed the moon child. The unfortunate part of the seating was the tables were flimsy plastic wicker and our drinks did not sit level on them. They almost tipped over a couple of times spilling on my dress. We had to hold them while trying to enjoy an appetizer one handed. There was one umbrella however the hot sun shot in my eyes, I tried to move the chair and ended up in the walkway uncomfortably. The hostess Kim led us to our table and we had asked to move the chairs out of the sun. There was a nice breeze but the humidity was taking its toll on us. Eventually a nice sun shade was lowered in our seating area. Amanda our waitstaff greeted us and she was personable. I advised her of allergies and apologized she had to keep going to the kitchen to ask about the menu items. I let her know I tried to email ahead of time to avoid any issues and did not hear back. Like my expensive purse chain that kept falling through the cracks of our wooden dinner table, we as dinner guests did as well. We had placed our order for the ahi tuna appetizer and our dinner selections at the same time to avoid a long wait. I had let Amanda know the allergies listed in the dish and requested if the kitchen could use citrus, truffle or herbs without garlic in it to still make the dish flavorfull. The tuna came out roughly 23 minutes later without silverware or napkins. We waited a while before I was able to ask another waitstaff passing by for silverware. The tuna was a fresh cut of fish however it was flavorless, we did not finish it. The best part of that dish was the rice crackers. My chair was repeatively kicked by waitstaff bustling by. Tables were full and it was busy, a little consideration goes a long way though. Our dinner entrees arrived 57 minutes later. Presentation was beautiful. The steak texture was like melting butter however on the verge of being chilled in temperature and that was displeasing. The snapper cooked to perfection with a golden, crispy edged outer shell and soft flaky interior. The fish was fresh but also lacked severely in flavor. That is why I had emailed to coordinate a dish without disrupting the the kitchen and avoid posing the culinary challenge. We took our meals home to doctor them up. Our drinks were polished, ottimo to the bartenders! For dessert we had crème brulee and orange rice pudding. Brulee had great flavor, creamy texture, the shell needed more. The orange rice pudding was delightfully delicious with the fresh citrus peaking into each bite. I ordered a short rib dinner to go for my husband. We explored upstairs. The atmosphere and the decor was impressive. Outside turf and planted greenery added a classy touch, the herb wall projected a classic blended feel. The inside décor held time period relic symbolisms tipping the hat to history and Mr. Jones. It does not seem worth a membership if it just sitting upstairs with one guest per member as the hostess noted. As we headed outside Georgette was making her round of the grounds and thanked us for dining. She was friendly and genuine in her farwell greeting. My husband enjoyed his short rib cooked to perfection. He was hoping for brighter notes to differentiate the sauce tho. The polenta did not travel well and congealed too quickly. We may consider dining again there, possibly after more time and guest experience is cultivated. I have had better experiences and meals in Fort Pierce. read more

The food was good but the service was quite lacking, considering the ambiance. We had a drunk up in the speakeasy before dinner, which I was expecting to be a little secretive, but it's literally just a small bar upstairs. The drink menu was huge and the drinks were small but they were classic. I loved all the photo sports around the restaurant and definitely felt like I took a Time Machine back in time. Oysters (cooked) were great. The short ribs were awful and NY strip was chewy. Carrots under cooked all lacked seasoning. Average at best.

So, a lunch with a party of 7. First, the awkward seating because for some reason, they have round tables and putting them together to seat a large party not very good; I have no idea why they didn't go for rectangular tables. So, when you are seated in the hole created by round tables put together....... The decor is nice, a lot of thought to keeping the integrity of the old house. You can't eat decor though. The waitress was pleasant and energetic, but someone needs to tell staff that customers are not "guys" or "you guyses" which we must have heard 20 times. It's not that a group of 60+ year old women are offended, it's just that it's unprofessional and tacky in a place that's trying to be upscale and claims "white glove service" So, the menu is odd, and I had a hard time choosing something. Just don't get excited about avocado toast or yet another burger (at least they don't call them "handhelds") Was just about to choose the cauliflower steak because I was curious about the eggplant puree, then my friend suggested we get the charcuterie tower. It's $38 and claims to have "artisanal cheese and sausage" and if you look at the menu, some things were not on the tower. At any rate, the cheese was sliced cheese, like smoked Gouda, cheddar and the like, no brie, no soft cheese, no chunks of cheese, no blue. The sausage, though nice enough, were just sliced meats. So, that part was a bit pedestrian. The pretzel crackers were nice, though menu said pita but the toasted baguette slices were a nice touch. The olives, nice, the nuts, nice, and there were some very nice grapes and apple slices (with which a Brie or a blue would really have been nice) No whole grain mustard, and no dried fruits - but frankly, I'd rather have none than the sulfer dioxide treated apricots you see on these trays. Little pickled peppers were nice - no cornichons. So, it was an ok tray but not rustic or artisanal at all. We had some leftovers so that was nice. Two companions had the gnocchi with Asiago. It was heavy and flavorless according to both. Don't have too much feedback from others; one had the chicken paillard and I wonder why crispy chicken would be covered with a dressed salad Appetizers were okay. the biscuits are ridiculously small. The Vegetable chips were nice, the tzatziki sauce very good. We tried the deviled eggs, they were very cold and the only flavor was the bacon which was nicely diced and smoky, but basically the egg was a vehicle for the bacon. I don't understand the menu. Upscale dining with a hot dog board. We wanted some dessert but somehow they only had three creme brulee, which were good. I'm not sure I'd return. The menu is strange and it's a bit on the pricey side for the food you get. read more

Very disappointing! We had lunch reservations on Monday to celebrate our 44 th anniversary. Thought this would be a nice way to celebrate. Very nice lunch menu, interesting drinks, quaint atmosphere very pricey and overrated for what you are served. I ordered chicken paillard, the salad was excellent, the chicken was hidden under the salad and was very dried out! My husband ordered and his meal, it did not come out as presented in the menu, 2 slices of bread not on a hoagie roll. My drink was a limeade specialty for $16. and served in a 4 oz. glass that was mostly ice, my husband's $4. coke was mostly ice! So disappointing and overrated and pricey. The dining room was cold, noisy and the one of 2 booths was so small that I was pressed in against our table! When the booth behind us was seated it was most uncomfortable with every bounce and movement felt and pressing me further into our table. We were unable to eat outside or to tour the house because of a private party. Everything was very disappointing, with a very noisy, small dining room, to uncomfortable seating, not the best of food, way over priced but our server Daniel was good and attentive. We received an anniversary gift card for 10% off our next visit. We won' be back and passed our discount card on to our neighbors and fore warned them of our experience. Normally I would not write a negative review but after spending $90. for lunch, I felt I had to write something to warn others about our experience. Sit outside in the shade, avoid the small noisy dining room and let them know you were dissatisfied, the hostess really didn't seem to care and was texting on her phone when we arrived, no greeting, " do you have reservations, come this way" and seated us. First of all, the atmosphere was very good. It's in an old house built-in 19 0 9, the outside seating and bar looked very nice. The menu has a lot of choices. We went there for the sunday brunch. At first I ordered the frittata with seafood in it, the waitress told me they didn't have that. So I ask about the hamburger and because I'm diabetic.I ask if I could substitute the fries for the grilled vegetables. She told me I could get the vegetables but I'd have to pay for them. I feel that the prices that they are charging for a hamburger, you should be able to get the grilled vegetables to substitute. The vegetables were only a dollar more than a fry's , which I would have been more than happy to pay the extra dollar. I ended up ordering the boston house salad. Which said it would come with italian sausage and shrimp on it. When I received it , I did not see any italian sausage or shrimp in or on the salad. So I i mentioned it to the waitress. The manager came out and I showed it to him.He said what they meant by sausage was salami, so I said okay. And he then brought me six small shrimp on a plate. They looked like frozen shrimp , not fresh shrimp. I put the shrimp on the salad and I ate the salad.The salad was very good with what was in it. I feel that a restaurant that is supposed to be a high-end restaurant charging high-end prices. Should have the food that's on the menu. Also give you what you order. Also allow you to substitute like priced sides and only pay the difference of price between the different sides. I also think some of this is because the restaurant just opened on memorial day. And they are still training and figuring out some things. I think we will give them a try again. But they should consider allowing people to substitute sides that would not be good for their diet. read more

In the early 1900's William T. Jones was working as an engineer for Henry Flagler on the Florida East Coast Railway. He suffered a knee injury in a railroad accident when a careless worker placed dynamite on the tracks and a train hit it. With the settlement he received he built Cresthaven, known today as The Boston House. He chose to place his home on a high ridge overlooking the Indian River. The 3 story, red brick mansion was designed with Neo Classical and Georgian architecture. It was completed in 1909 at a cost of $6,000. It had 5 bedrooms and 4,3000 square feet. The floors, banisters, and stairs were made of Dade County pine. other building materials used to build the house were brought to Fort Pierce from Georgia by the FEC Railroad because of the friendship Jones shared with Henry Flagler. After he retired from the railroad Jones grew oranges and pineapples and sold real estate. He eventually became the third sheriff of St. Lucie County. During his time in the home two troubling incidents happened concerning Jones's children. His youngest son Clifford accidentally shot and killed a playmate when he was 10 in the living room of the house and his son Fred was involved in a motorcycle accident that killed his fiance's sister. Things did not go well for the other Jones children in the later years, son William dies at the age of 36 from injuries from a motorcycle accident, daughter Margaret dies from a heart attack, and the eldest son Fred took his own life. Jones ultimately lost ownership of the house during a period of financial problems caused by the Great Depression. In 1949 he had borrowed money from a friend, Irving C. Whitney but when Whitney died his sister inherited his estate and called in the note on the loan giving the Jones family a week to vacate their home. Rose Whitney then moved into the house renaming it Boston House because she was from Massachusetts. Upon Rose Whitney's death the McCarty family purchased the house but they chose not to live in it. The house then became an engineering firm and a private residence before it was restored in the mid 1980's and became the law firm of Kendall Phillips. The house was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on April 11, 1985. Today many people believe the Boston House is haunted. There has been paranormal activity associated with house, particularly around the third floor. Indians have been spotted on the lawn. Legend has it that a female spirit haunts the Boston House. She is believed to be Aleacon Perkins. She was vacationing in the home during the time it was an inn and her son and husband drown during a storm in the river. It is said she is still awaiting their return from a third floor window. During my visit it looks like the Boston House is getting some more work done. The inside is ripped apart and new windows have been installed. No word on what the spirits think about that. read more
