This was our first trip to this nursery. We were looking for a specific type of tree that no other nursery had in stock. It was a short trip from our house and the scenery on the way was great. When we arrived, we were immediately impressed. As far as we could see we're stands of trees arranged by type in specific areas with walkways in between. We entered the sales area to get help on finding what we were looking for. This area was not the same as other nurseries. The selection of available items was limited but covered most gardening needs. The person at the counter pulled out a map of the nursery and told us which quadrant to look in. He gave us a tag so we could mark which one we wanted if we found something we liked. Each area was numbered so it was easy to find the species we were looking for. There was a plentiful number of trees that were obviously well cared for. We made our selection and tagged the tree. Upon returning to the sales area we paid for the tree which was less than other nurseries charge, especially since the tree was larger than those at other places, and arranged for delivery. The $50 fee is less than others. The next day the tree was delivered and placed right next to the place we had prepared for it. This visit has convinced us that Boston Hill will now be one of the nurseries we go to for quality products. read more

We have been wanting trees for our back yard, as it currently does not have any shade at all. We received a catalog from Boston Hill Nursery in the mail and after looking a bit, we decided the time was now. We went on a windy Friday afternoon and one of the girls who worked there wrote up a little post it for us letting us know where we could find the different types of trees that we were interested in. They also provided us with some suggestions that would help us manage the concerns in our yard. We were given tags with our name on them to "claim" the trees we wanted and then we just tore off the price tag so she could cash us out when we got up to the front again. I do wish I wore rubber rain boots and a heavier coat, but that was only my fault. Once we picked out all our trees they got us cashed out and talked to us about how we would plant them in our yard, we also opted for the delivery because some of the trees we got were nearly 15 feet tall. The delivery went off with our a hitch and the helped us place the trees right near where we planned to plant them. We are really excited about adding trees to our yard and we loved the selection and ease at Boston Hill Nursery. We are going to see how these trees do in our backyard and maybe we will get an ornamental tree for our front yard in a few years! read more

We were super excited to cut down a real Christmas tree this year after having a fake tree for about the past 5 years since moving to WNY. We finally bought a house a year ago and decided it was time to get a real Christmas tree like we both always had growing up and still have every Christmas at our parents house when we go home for the holiday. A friend had recommended Boston Hill Nursery so that's where we went. We were disappointed after trekking around the grounds to cut down a tree as there were a scarce number of trees that were taller than me at 5'5". We were looking for a tree that was roughly 7'-8' tall. We also found that unlike many Christmas Tree farms we have been to in the past there was minimal signage or staff directing customers. There was absolutely no signage indicating where specific tree varieties were located (I.e. blue spruce, Douglas fir, etc.). We hopped back in our car intending to search for a Christmas tree elsewhere but after spotting at their pre- cut Christmas trees we just decided to go that route this year rather than making a day of finding a another place. We were very pleased with their available precut trees with labels for price and tree variety on each tree. The precut trees were healthy and full and smelled amazing, of course. The staff were very helpful with the pre-cut trees offering to bring it to the netting station and putting it on and strapping it to our car for us. They were extremely friendly and offered a cheerful "Merry Christmas" before we drove away as well. We ended up paying about $65 for the pre cut trees rather then the expected $45 to cut our own but in the end it was worth it to save us the hassle of driving around aimlessly trying to find another Christmas Tree Farm. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a quick and easy pre - cut tree or in need of a smaller 'cut your own' Christmas tree for sure. However, if you are looking for a decent size 'cut your own' tree then I would recommend looking elsewhere. read more

After another nursery stiffed us on a large landscaping project we decided to go the DIY route and buy/install all the perennial plants and trees ourselves, trying out a new nursery. This was our first time buying from Boston Hill and it was a wonderful experience. We were given colored tags so we could walk around the property and tie them to any plants/trees we wanted. We tagged about 20 plants/trees and then the staff put them aside for delivery at a later date. The staff was available for questions and gave us lots of helpful planting tips. An unexpected discount was given at checkout due to the large amount purchased, so that was a nice surprise. The plants/trees look great so far but I can't speak to their longevity yet. It looked like these trees were grown right there on the property so that makes me hopeful that they will do well. We also had soil delivered on a separate date, so two separate delivery charges applied (would have been nice if only one was charged but no big deal, they were reasonable). read more

Soooo unorganized. There's no signs telling you what to do and where to go. It was very muddy towards where you cut your own. The parking lot by where you pay is small and awkward. We paid 80 bucks for a tree a pre cut one that isn't anything special which I found very expensive. We were gonna cut our own down so we drove all the way down then realized there's no saws down there, so we drove all the way back up top and decided to not drive back down again because it was such a cluster. About five other cars made the same mistake we did. And cars were getting stuck in the mud. Even when we found out precut one we wanted, didn't know what to do. We had to hunt people down and figure out their system. Would never come back. read more

Purchased a Christmas tree from Brad at Boston Hill Nursery today. Brad and his brother have a very large selection of cut-your-own trees. Easy to get to and everyone is friendly and helpful. They will wrap your tree at no extra cost and help load it into/onto your vehicle. A very pleasant experience. Another plus, the trees are so well maintained that the branches are thick and full. We're thinking our daughter's cat won't be able to climb it. Thanks! read more
