Every dog receives love from volunteers, socialization with other pugs, medical care & check up's. Arriving for their 2019 calendar photoshoot ending up featured January's hunk of the month. In my observations I noticed luxurious indoor & outdoor spaces where each fur baby enjoys varieties of toys, lots of comfortable beds & 24/7 access to many placed food & water dishes throughout the area. Non residing pugs within Midsouth Pugs receive foster care in loving environments with great hoomans and/or papa hoomans while relaxing & enjoying their time awaiting a forever home. Being involved with 2 fundraising events they had. Soliciting votes from friends, family & other pet lovers for my photo receiving a feature in 2019's calendar was a privilege & do hope again in receiving an opportunity for future calendars while enjoying raising money supporting a worthy cause. My favorite fundraiser they hosted appealed towards my poker passion which became successful that day raising a wonderful sum while supporting continuation of Pug care. Midsouth Pug's gets my recommendation for adopting a forever friend volunteering with donating supplies, raising money or fostering these wonderful fur babies. Adoptings better than shopping & pays for itself 10 times over in offering love towards special souls & reducing high cost from breeders. Everyone's a winner. Winning is business & business is good for Cheryl, her staff & the pugs fostered with & through this wonderful organization. I recently got a Mini Aussie puppy from this establishment. He was originally from a breeder and…read morewas sold to the store. I called and set up a meeting with the puppy before making my decision. DO NOT be fooled by the niceness of the staff!! Over the phone they mentioned that the puppy was going to be between $1,500 and $2,000, with monthly payments. after I had gotten there and been playing and loving on the puppy for over two hours they told me he was going to cost $3,600 with monthly payments of $100, which is an EXTEME difference to what they told me over the phone. They had me fill out an online form, without telling what I was filling out. the whole time i though i was filling out a form to be approved to take the dog home. Proof of income, Proof of housing, ect. in reality, I was filling out an application FOR A LOAN. No one made it aware to me that i was applying for a loan and by the time i submitted the form it was too late. I didn't figure out it was a loan until i complemented the working helping me how it was good they make everyone fill out those forms. Then he informed me that yes everyone has to fill those out to be approved for the loan. i said "loan?". I have the puppy at home now and was doing research on his lineage when i found out the the breeder he came from was not only being bashed on the internet for mistreatment, changed their name to avoid bad press, but were also selling these puppies for $500. Puppy dreams added another $3,000 to his cost. I am extremely pissed off how badly they ripped me off. I genuinely feel bad for the puppies that are still in that place, and for the people going their to find their best friend for life but instead they get deceived and taken advantage of. I am a 20 Y/O college girl who was looking for a dog to help with my mental health and anxiety; they knew that and still decided to rip me off. I am so ashamed of not only them but of myself for trusting the very "nice" guy helping me through the process.
