I just had my granddaughter move to Arizona from Evansville In. She is a high school sophomore. Prior to coming to Az she was an A student and in advanced Algebra and 2nd year Spanish. It didn't take long til we saw the reality of how things are done at Bosse High School. She immediately had to go back to basic Algebra and is getting ready to go to a less advanced Spanish class. She felt completely over her head. When I asked how her Spanish class went at Bossie she said, 'all the kids just sat around and talked, we didn't do much". So far that has been a running theme for our conversations about her prior school experience. I feel the students are graded not on their achievements but, on the demands for the teachers to show higher scores. I am very disappointed in how our school systems are just moving kids along and providing
them with very little education. read more
