The majority of tourist visiting in SF congregate by the water to grab something with seafood in it. Throughout the city you can find delicious crab in dishes native to San Francisco like Cioppino . You will also find seafood in many dishes around the city restaurants like ceviche ,honey walnut prawn , shrimp scampi, and Dungeness crab with garlic noodles. You cannot go to the Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco at the largest Japantown in America this April weekend without enjoying a sushi dish with salmon. One thing about seafood dishes is it's easy to cook. You can't really screw up cooking a salmon or some shrimps. There is one place which has all the seafood essentials when you are miles away from the water in the Richmond ( not the city of Richmond) District in San Francisco . It's on Clement street and it's called the Seafood Center. On a Spring stroll by the See's Candies on 9th Avenue you will see the Seafood Center up the block on Clement. Inside you will see lobsters and crabs for sale which will save you time shopping and traveling to Fisherman's Wharf. You will see hella fish heads on an ice in a line up. The fishes inside are caught locally and some are caught as far as New Zealand. They also have shrimps that look okay along with Manila Clams. This is a good place to grab seafood to take home and cook or have it raw all four seasons in San Francisco. San Francisco is the home of Cioppino "inventor" which you can grab the ingredients for it on Clement street at the" Seafood Center" they have hella fresh crab meat and shrimp that's so "tender" you can see the all seafood once you "enter" So go and "grab "some seafood like shrimp , lobster, Manila clams and some "crab "and see the fish on ice by the "slab" it's located on Clement past the Sees Candies between "9th and 10th Ave"

Plenty of hamachi chunks with seaweed salad, avocado, and edamame beans. I think this is about $12 or $13 if I remember correctly. so good and wallet friendly Sashimi (5/5) I loveeee hamachi (yellow tail) and I always get their sashimi and nigiri here. They have both regular hamachi and also the hamachi toro! The toro is about $18 for 6 or 7 pieces. So much cheaper than what you can get at restaurants. I wanted to do a make your own hand roll night at home and got a variety of sashimi, a small container of ginger and wasabi for $1 each, and a small container of tobiko for $2! Everything came out to about $80 and enough to feed 3 people. They have plenty of rice bowls, sushi rolls, and you can even order catering from them. And since they are a mini market, you can get a variety of Japanese snacks, drinks and ramen! Service is fast and the lady at the cashier is very nice and efficient.

Gets busy, but quick line. The store is super clean. The toro sashimi was delicious. Good fatty pieces, but it was a bit pricey per pound, so you do not get a lot of pieces. The salmon tobiko don ($15) was a good meal, I love how it includes seaweed salad. The onigiri, about $4.50 each, has a balanced ratio of rice and filling.

Duck season is about end in January. Cuffing season still continues but it ends the day after St. Patrick's Day. Soup season is still in effect. The Crab season just started and with some old bay seasoning it's about to get cracking for New Lunar Year which starts in February. Baseball bats will also start cracking on the field for baseball season at Oracle Park in San Francisco which starts in April. There is one place which is open all four seasons and year round for your hot pot needs and for that shrimp on the barbie. It's on Clement street and it's called Hing Wing Seafood Market. On a Winter stroll in 2026 on Clement street in San Francisco where you can smell, and see food. Inside Hing Wing you can get seafood like crabs and fresh salmon. You can also grab some meats for your hot pot and potluck needs. This place also has lots shell fish like clams, oysters, and even tiger shrimp. You will also find duck. They even have chicken feet like some I seen around in SF. This is a good place to grab meats and seafood from land to water on Clement street for SAT ( Surf and Turf). Come to the "spot"where they sell fish and shrimp that's already "caught" and they also "got "the meats to stir up to cook up a "hot pot" 2016 was the year of the monkey and 2026 is the year of the "horse" and in February Lunar New Year rolls in with "force" so come to a place in San Francisco to gather the meats and seafood to prepare a Lunar New Year dinner "multi-course" with seafood like fish and shrimp which is locally "source"

To my surprise, they actually advertise and sell it - wonder what it tastes like! Since it is a meat and seafood market, the location will be a bit dirty, so closed-toed shoes are highly recommended. The area is also quite tight, so knowing what you want in advance may make the experience more enjoyable.
