My wife and I visited this medical facility after her doctor wanted her to have a consultation…read moreabout a procedure she needed. The building was very clean and everyone we interacted with was very professional, courteous, and friendly. The nurse Allasha (might of spelled that wrong) was really warm a comforting to my wife, who was very nervous about her upcoming procedure. Our appointment was with Margaret Miler PA-C. Her friendly and welcoming demeanor put my wife even more at ease about her visit. She took her time answering and explaining all of our questions we had. I always appreciate when a physician takes their time with you and doesn't make you feel that they are rushing to get to the next patient. Didn't feel that at all. They offer several services in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Nephrology, Neurology, and Medical Oncology.

Receptionists are rude and short with patients, I waited for 50 minutes and was never called back…read moreon my second visit. First visit Dr. Smalheiser spoke to me for all of 3 minutes and did not allow me to share all my symptoms. Dr. Also downplayed my concerns and ordered a monitor without discussing anything about it. Felt like a money grab because I'm completely insured. Not a patient but a walking money bag. I continue to have heart issues, but I'd rather deal with those issues than with this business.

I have two options in Beaufort to get my annual skin checks. This is because of there are only two…read moreapproved by my insurance. This office only had a three month the wait and the other was 6. Everything about my visit was fine until the doctor came in. I felt like he never spoke to me. Instead he spoke to his assistant and she spoke to me. He didn't even ask me about the suspicious spots I had before he wanted to start the skin check. He also never asked me to stand up, he performed his check with me sitting the entire time. Which is odd. I have had checks before from an excellent Dermatologist in California; many things about this visit were off. I had on a paper gown and under garments on. The biggest issue I had was he reached to touch me without asking or warning. This included under my undergarments without warning me or asking me if it was ok. He just pulled them away and looked, front and back. Maybe this is normal in South Carolina. But I was in shock and bewildered. His assistant just stood behind him (he was sitting in a stool) like he was doing what he always does. Not that he checked anywhere he shouldn't have. Let's be honest skin cancer can show up in any inch of your body. My concern and uneasiness is because he did not speak to me directly and he pulled my garnets away and looked and poked me with ZERO warning. I won't be returning to this office.

I would never recommend this practice to anyone first of all not only is it dirty and shabby and…read moreunprofessional the little girl I saw who seemed to be about 16 prescribe some medicine for me for a skin rash she knew how miserable I was and never call the prescription in so now they're closed until after January 1st horrible care everything I asked her she said I don't know I don't know wow

Before ordering my orthodics they checked my insurance to make sure it was covered, it was approved as it always has been and the ordered them. I then got a bill for the full amount saying my insurance declined to pay! I called the insurance company and they said Physicians Footcare used the wrong billing code that they submitted something to do with an ankle. They told me to call the office, tell them to ask for the latest billing code. I called the office and they were useless and said to call billing. I called billing snd they said it was an office issue. I called the office back and they transferred me back to billing. So I explained they used the wrong code and needed to call the insurance. Their reply was "We don't need to call anyone, the insurance denied it and you signed a paper that said you would pay so pay your bill!" I told them the insurance did not refuse to pay for the orthodics they refused to pay for some stupid ankle thing you submitted! They said too bad you pay or we put you into collection. It says on the bill that if its incorrect mail a letter to a PO Box in Maine. I did that and got a bill only for the copay which I paid. 3 months later I get a bill for the full amount again and there is nobody to talk to. Stay far away from these scammers and by the way the practice itself does crap work since my Doctor left them.

I've tried to resolve. impossible. you can't get local office on phone. you can get a scheduling person somewhere in the world (and she's nice) but they can't answer billing questions. when you call the automated billing question number on bill & enter account number get silence. tried multiple times. Regardless of how good or bad their podiatrist may be I will never do business with them again. Inept.
