Overall it was a really great place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip! There was a little hiccup in my room though in that the coffee maker was broken.... Really awful if you love coffee right when you wake up like I do!! Fortunately the breakfast buffet was going on downstairs so it was easy to get my caffeine fix. The included breakfast looked fine. I only took a cup of coffee which was decent. My kids didn't see anything they like. The property was clean and parking was included. The front desk was just okay. I didn't feel especially welcoming. It was a little better than the dmv.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly woman at the front desk who offered us bottles of water as well as informed us that we had been upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite- just because! This was an awesome surprise. The room itself was very clean, nice and cool with AC running when we arrived, and incredibly spacious. We appreciated the variety of dining ware and the ice cube trays in the freezer, as well as the amount of towels and bedding provided. We were close enough to the stairs/elevator to provide quick entry/exit without enduring/making too much noise. The complimentary breakfast was great! Two nights stay provided two varieties of breakfasts. My son LOVED the omelet and the waffle station, and I myself really enjoyed the potato sausage pepper mix, and the salsa verde provided. The waffles were really good, just got a bit crowded with everyone waiting to make theirs. I do wish they had a designated station employee to assist with making waffles during the peak breakfast rush. Everything was so good that we were craving the breakfast after returning back home! The only con to the breakfast area was the heat- it got extremely warm downstairs with everyone in the dining area + open windows during a major heat wave + the waffle irons constantly going. We opted to take breakfast back upstairs on our second day to eat in the AC. The only 2 downsides to the room- no USB outlet plugs in the suite, and the tv's were a bit finicky, sometimes providing no audio, or refusing to turn on. Neither of these will deter us from future stays, especially with Target being a quick 7 minute drive to pick up an outlet plug (my fault for not packing one). 100% recommend this location, and am very much looking forward to future stays! =)

Our room had a refrigerator and microwave. TV was working. Bed and pillows weren't that great but they were neat and clean. Bathroom had big bottles of shampoo and body wash...not the usual little bottles. I appreciated that pets were welcome (for extra fee) as we had our dog. There were many areas outside the hotel where our dog did his "thing" and little dog bags for collection. They also provided breakfast and it was pretty good: yogurt, juice, coffee, fresh fruit, cereals, toast and a waffle iron to make waffles. They also have a pool and vending machines. Front desk and housekeeping were friendly. Not fancy, but I still gave it 3 stars.

After checking a couple times and our encounter with the OTHER, older front desk lady; our room was ready at 4. That's check in time. The room was large and pretty nice; we did notice the floors were a bit "damp". The little patio with the chairs and view, very nice. We were able to hear the live music coming from marina bar as we were sitting outside of our room taking in the view. We took out a paddle boat that was complimentary at check in. The lake itself is very nice, pretty peaceful considering it sits smack-dab in the middle of a neighborhood. What makes my review a 3.8 isnt the accommodation. Recommended. Its front desk staff, in particular the second one i mentioned. She should enjoy her job more.

Upon arrival, we noticed chips and debris left on the carpet, which immediately suggested that the room had not been thoroughly vacuumed or properly inspected before check-in. In the bathroom, there was a woman's hair left in the shower, and some of the towels did not appear as fresh and clean as one would expect from a resort-level property. When staying at an upscale hotel or resort, cleanliness should be seamless and unquestionable. Guests should not have to inspect the carpet, shower, or towels and wonder whether the room was fully serviced before their arrival. Those details are fundamental to the overall guest experience. The property itself has many appealing qualities, but the housekeeping shortcomings significantly affected our impression of the stay. At this price point and level of presentation, I expected far greater attention to detail and a stronger quality-control process before rooms are released to guests. With more consistent housekeeping and room inspections, Lakehouse Resort could provide the experience its setting and branding suggest. Unfortunately, our room did not meet that standard.

I really loved the way they received you when you get there. They give you apple cider in little cute glasses. Making you feel very special. Then when you leave they don't even care. On another places at least they ask you how was your stay. Here they just ignored you. They gave us 2 aluminum water bottles with their name on them. They were pretty but a little bent. The beds smelled clean and the mattresses felt comfortable. You could not jump in them but they were comfy. The bathroom and the shower were very clean and ample. We had have very hard time with the coffee machine. It was not very easy to use. They had couple of coffee pods and they were good. When we finally learn how to used it. We asked for a room with a view and our view was from the side not in front of the beach. It was still a good view just not how we imagined. The hotel it's very close to the beach. We went to the pool and it's at roof top one. It had a nice view to the ocean. We took a very nice sunset picture from there. They had the big pool and some jacuzzis. There was some guest there. It was nice it was not over crowded. At night we were going around to the next door hotel that happened to partners. They had a big bar and music. It was very nice and plenty of people having a good time. Sadly we couldn't stay because we had minors with us. I would comeback and stay here again. It was a pleasant stay. I just felt ignored when we left. Forgot to mention we found an empty used drink can in the fridge and used note pad. Details that make a difference. It makes you think they ate it very thorough when cleaning.

The front desk welcomes you and goes over the layout of the resort very well as it's very big! They also offered a golf cart tour. The amenities are great and the restaurant Ponto Lago was amazing. They have a 4 course dining options for $60 during restaurant week. I highly recommend recommend visiting the Resort and restaurant as its worth the visit!

On May 15, 2026, what should have been a relaxing dinner at Ember & Rye at Park Hyatt Aviara became…read morean incredibly upsetting experience. My husband had just finished working six consecutive shifts at the fire department, and we were simply looking forward to a nice evening together. As we entered the parking lot, two men in a golf cart crossed in front of our vehicle. My husband honked, and there was later a brief verbal exchange about what had happened. There were no threats or physical confrontation from us, and we believed the matter was over. Later, while we were still seated at our dinner table, a woman we had never met approached us and began questioning us about the parking-lot interaction. She told us that she and her husband were club members, repeatedly referenced their membership, said she had never seen us there before, and told us she "didn't want any problems in the future." I cannot speak to what she intended, but the encounter made both of us feel intimidated, unwelcome, and extremely uncomfortable. We later learned that an Aviara Country Club member event was being held at the restaurant that evening. After dinner, we discovered that our vehicle had been extensively damaged while parked on the property. Carlsbad Police investigated, and surveillance footage from the property documented what occurred. An individual associated with the earlier parking-lot encounter became the alleged suspect during the investigation. Our vehicle ultimately sustained nearly $15,000 in repair costs. I am intentionally not identifying anyone or making any statement about guilt. I am simply describing what my husband and I experienced that evening. What has disappointed us most is Park Hyatt Aviara's response afterward. I personally contacted hotel management and was told that Hyatt was cooperating with police, which we appreciated. We were also told that someone from Aviara Golf Club management would contact us to discuss what happened. That call never came. I understand that a hotel cannot control the actions of every person on its property, and I am not assigning legal responsibility to Hyatt. My concern is how we were treated as guests after such a serious and disturbing experience. We experienced an uncomfortable confrontation during dinner, left to discover nearly $15,000 in damage to our vehicle, and had to involve law enforcement. Yet we never felt the level of concern, communication, or follow-through we expected from a five-star property. That is what has been most disappointing. We chose Park Hyatt Aviara because we expected exceptional hospitality and guest care consistent with the Park Hyatt name. Instead, we left feeling uncomfortable, unsupported, and profoundly disappointed. I sincerely hope Park Hyatt Aviara considers how guests are cared for when something goes seriously wrong during their visit.

Their hotel next door does not charge for parking. They have a nice breakfast and a Wednesday Happy Hour, too. Bonus is the full kitchen. I have a suite with a separate bedroom, which is great! We needed a convenient spot near(ish) to Escondido for one night within the Hilton family of hotels…read moreand chose this Homewood Suites location over other brand hotels as we were traveling with our son and wanted to be able to have separate rooms. It's an all suites hotel so it served that need. The room itself on appearance was very nice, perhaps recently refurbished and felt clean and modern. We had a couple experiences which made it a little weird though. The rooms have motion detecting lights that you can only sort of control. The shower for example...the light turns off when you're in the shower as it doesn't sense your motion and there's no way (obvious to us) to force it to stay on. That was a bummer for the 2 of us who wanted to shower but had to do so in the dark unless we opened the shower door and waved our arm around to hopefully catch the attention of the sensor to give us another 30 seconds of light. This also happens if you're sitting on the toilet. The last thing I want to think about in that situation is having to provide additional motion so the light doesn't turn out. In the living space, a light also automatically turns on when it senses motion. Not great for having our son trying to sleep in that room and us having to move through it to leave the room or access the kitchen to have all the lights suddenly turn on around our sleeping boy. Also had a disappointing non-fitness room experience. The fitness room was no accessible because of renovations...okay bad luck in terms of timing...but they said I could go to the adjacent Hampton Inn and use their fitness room which was open 24 hours. So I did, but, unfortunately their fitness room actually isn't open 24 hours as I learned when I got there. So no fitness room and wasted time walking in the rain to the hotel next door based in the inaccurate info given by the staff. So overall disappointing and strange (especially the lights situation)...seems like they forget to dot a few Is when setting these rooms up.
