A truly amazing unique place with endless native plants, beautiful gardens with natural habitat for wild life, and very friendly people ready to help you and make yo smile. Above and beyond outstanding!

On my first visit to Bosky Dell Natives just over a month ago, I stayed for over three hours taking it all in. (I've since gone back two more times). What a tucked away jewel of ONLY PNW NATIVES!! Shrubs, flowers, ground covers, ferns, trilliums and TREES- all tucked in and around creatively designed and built structures layered in artful, chippy architectural elements. Lory, the owner, is delightful- an inspiration and so incredibly helpful. As a newbie to native gardening and striving to convert my property to a native habitat, this amazing nursery (and Lory) have given me the resources and inspiration I was seeking. Thank you BDN!!

I have gotten really into landscaping with native plants lately, and I am working on my Backyard Habitat Certification. Because of that I've been meaning to go to Bosky Dell for a while now, especially since the BH program comes with a 10% discount to this nursery. Bosky Dell is huuuuuuge and such a great place to wander around to see examples of natives in their natural habitat. From a shady forest path to bee hives in a sunny meadow, this place is not only a nursery but an inspiration. I do suggest coming with a list of plants you're looking for, as the aisles and layout can feel naturally chaotic. It may also help to have reference images, as some of the plants were not labeled. You may also need to inquire about pricing rather than looking at a sticker. I got two pacific wax myrtles, two tall Oregon grapes, and a blue blossom California lilac, and am excited to get them into the ground before fall. Hopefully we get some clouds and rains because some plants (both in my yard and at the nursery) are looking a little sunburned!

We had a fantastic time searching for native plants for a bee garden and pollinator pathway for my church today at Bosky Dell. The owner Lory spent an hour with us and showed us around the property and she was a walking encyclopedia. I highly recommend this native nursery in West Linn.

I had seen photos before I went and knew they had native plants, but really nothing could prepare me for how over the top this place is. Definitely come prepared to wander. That's part of the charm of this place. You probably won't be going here to zip in and out to find your $3 zinnia, but you will be wandering around looking at all the landscaping and design gems in every nook and cranny or identifying the native hitchhiker who is hanging out in the meadowfoam pot and if you want to take it too. This nursery requires a different attitude and speed. However, I think coming here is extremely rewarding if you have a spare hour or two and treat it as a natural space where items happen to be available for purchase. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and willing to put the time in for consults as well.

A one of a kind gardening experience. Bosky Dell Natives emphasizes the importance of supporting our fragile and dwindling native ecosystem. When you plant native plants, they require less time, expense of chemical care, and water. They are already acclimated to our environment. Another perk of native plants, is you will see more native life in your garden, greater variations of butterflies, amphibians, and birds. Bosky Dell's plants are grown on property in their natural environment, with the greatest level of care. The grounds of the nursery are like taking a stroll through the forest neighboring a farm. There are many "test gardens" for ideas. My kids love the bunnies, frogs, and free roaming chickens. Bosky Dell is a utopia of native gardening. 2016 #18

Need Oregon native plants and willing to drive 20 minutes from Portland? Ready to be challenged and impressed? Bosky Dell Natives, in a very beautiful and peaceful rural setting, is just the place. I went with my gardening expert spouse who is has a Backyard Habitat Certified garden, which requires Oregon native, and more specifically, Portland native plants. She's an expert, which helped as she knew exactly what she was looking at. There are some labels, there are some prices, but this is not a Portland Nursery type of experience where every plant has a tag on it. The plants are in sections and greenhouses, so with a little orientation from the helpful staff, it is fairly easy to get around. That said, I can see where this could be a bit overwhelming for a non-expert like me. I would say this is a typical approach based on other rural nurseries that I've been to.

Bosky Dell Natives offers a huge variety of Pacific Northwest native plants and the staff are all very friendly. I visited this place about a week ago with my grandma when I was visiting family in West Linn. I currently live in Sacramento and I am more familiar with California native plants than Oregon native plants. Since I want to learn more about Oregon native plants and I love gardening, I decided to check out this nursery. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately and got an introduction to the space. The staff were very knowledgeable about the different plants at the nursery. Throughout our visit, employees would check in with us to see if we had any questions. The owner of the nursery also introduced herself to me and told me about some of the unique features of the nursery. The people working here also really care about the environment and using native plants to enhance biodiversity. This site even contains a creek that was restored through the efforts of volunteers. On site are also many unique features, including artistic greenhouses and charming old buildings with antiques. There are many creative planting arrangements. As a landscape architecture student, I found this place very inspiring. I visited during winter time, but I definitely want to return in the spring time to see more plants in bloom! Even though it was winter, there was still a lot to see. I highly recommend visiting this nursery!

Plant starting to die - leaves turning black and crispy. Reached out to Owner via phone and emails with no response.

Such a lovely place - such ridiculously high prices. Been there twice this spring and walked away twice because of the prices.

Beginning my Backyard Habitat Certification, Boskey Dell was listed as a resource so I took my ignorant self on a tour prepared to be humbled by any employee I met.

I was fortunate enough to see some of their handiwork at an event held in the yard of someone who had previously discovered them. Hearing about what that space had looked like before and seeing the magical landscape that had been created there, I knew my wife and I needed to meet Nick Lake. Since then, he and his fantastic team have completely transformed our outside space into the most beautiful part of our home. Nick is an absolute treasure trove of inspiration and information. From the moment we first met with him, we knew we wanted to proceed as soon as possible. We didn't have pressing issues that made landscaping work an "emergency" (e.g., no water problems directly related to the yard), so an outside project easily could have waited. We also did not have a high level of horticultural knowledge, nor did we even know exactly what we wanted when we first started talking to Nick. We knew our yard had "potential", i.e. it was a smallish but not tiny, pretty drab space that wasn't particularly functional and wasn't much to look it. It was our conversation with Nick and his vision for the yard that made us want to move forward at that time and turn it into something great. Since then, with a combination of "demo" work, mulching, softscaping and hardscaping, every aspect of our yard has become a thing of beauty that we see and enjoy every single day. Throughout the process, Nick and his team have worked closely with us on every decision and every detail. Nick plays an integral role in all parts of the process and communication with him and his team has always been easy, fun, rewarding, and thorough. There have never been any surprises in terms of cost or how something was done. As a result, everything is exactly what was discussed and we could not be any happier with it. Nick certainly deserves the lion's share of the credit as the owner of the business, the mastermind behind the work, and a hands-on contributor to the implementation. That said, huge shout out for his entire crew and honorary mention for Tulsi, the smart and adorable dog that might make some appearances if Tashana is working and you give the green light. Every member of the team brings something important to the job, always including hard work but also creativity and individual areas of interest and expertise. The result is frequent flashes of brilliance and pleasant surprises throughout all phases of a project. It isn't a great time of year for pictures as I'm writing this (I'll add more in the spring) but below is a stone bench that took form during one day's work. This was not even part of the original plan, just an off-the-cuff idea (thanks to Kyle, Tommy, Daniel and Tashana if memory serves) to which we could have said "no thanks" if we were that foolish. Even once there are more pictures to add, they can only do so much. Nick knows he is always welcome to swing by and show off the beauty, which keeps getting better with every growth season. Whether we are sitting in the yard, walking through it to get to or from the house, or just staring at it through a window, we count ourselves lucky that this is actually part of our home. I cannot recommend Earth Ecology strongly enough. With Nick and his crew, you will get everything that you wanted and a lot more. As happened for us, you will get done with each step and be so happy that you decided to go for it, and occasionally scratch your head wondering if there is anything else you can do out there. Thanks, Earth Ecology :-)
