Good: Everyone is nice, and everyone is good at their jobs. They have the best selection of high end frames in the area (which means they do NOT have the best selection to affordable anything). The lenses are soooo much more durable and higher quality in general. Do NOT think that buying glasses off Warby Parker is going to give you the same experience. It won't. Bad: they don't make the glasses in-house, so sometimes they can take a while to receive. 2020-2022 were particularly bad for supply chain issues, so reviews you read during this time period are reflective of that delay. It also took longer to get an appointment during this time. They cater to luxury over affordability, which is great for me, but means that sometimes I get my prescription from them and order glasses and lenses online (although I inevitably regret this choice every time because the quality is so much worse). This place is the epitome of you get what you pay for.

If they mess up...you pay the difference. Avoid, you'd do better getting your glasses at the mall.

I walked into the hospital for a CAT scan and immediately received the procedure. My insurance became active three weeks later and the three visits with Dr. Migliaccio prior to this were NO CHARGE. WHO does this today? NOBODY! He ranked top of his class in Opthamology School and all of his care and recommendations have been excellent. He is kind and always seeks the best care for his patients. I am privileged to know him and entrust my complicated eye care to him with no reservations. Don't forget to thank those who care for you medically and leave good reviews when deserved. You get a free eye exam if you buy two pairs of glasses. 2nd pair is 40% off, not free. Staff was very nice and all was in order. Me and husband both had a great experience. Even had the lady cashing us out give us a coupon. For 20% off. My Only advice is to be AWARE false advertising.

I used to be a patient in the New Hartford office in the late 90s and had a horrible experience…read morewith an unkind doctor. This visit was far from that experience! The front desk associate, Cory, did a great job of explaining things prior to my appointment so I would know what to expect & was just as helpful when checking me in/out for my visit. He was friendly & took care of me quickly. I then worked with the tech Sam, who ran me through the first portion of eye tests (dialation machine, the dreaded eye puff, peripheral vision exam, etc.). She was very informative, kind, and through in explaining what each machine did and what we would both be doing. Next, I worked with the tech Julian (hopefully I am rembering his name correctly). He took me into the exam room to work with the assistant and doctor remotely on a large screen. He answered all of my questions and had a very calming presence. The assistant (her name started with a C) appeared on the screen and was very friendly and gave me the traditional eye exam that I was familiar with (better 1 or 2?). Julian placed the machine infront of my eyes and then the assistant controlled everything remotely while walking me through the exam. The appointment wrapped up with a video chat with Dr. Ippolito who went over my exam results & showed me pictures of eye while explaining different things. Very cool & interesting to learn about. Dr. Ippolito had great energy and was a pleasure to work with. I've already recommended this location to 2 family members & look forward to future visits.

This place is horrible. My family recently changed over to Empire Visionworks for glasses/contacts…read moreand have had nothing but problems. 1. I just walked out from what I thought was going to be an appointment, but they informed me that I had cancelled a week earlier. I had not. 2. My son's contacts came in with two right eyes when they were ordered. 3. My daughter's glasses, they tried to get us to pay twice. I also don't recommend the AI eye exam appointment, it took us approximately 4 hours to complete. On top of that there are a couple of front end people that could use a lesson in customer service.
