Top quality poultry processing and friendly, helpful employees/owner. About an hour drive from Ann Arbor.
BPP does not have signage. Just look for the giant godlike chicken statue (because they are meeting their maker?) out front. That should suffice to be the only sign you need that you are in the right place. You pull up and unload your crates and they do the rest. Hudson is small and charming and you can go into town, have some lunch at a local eatery (and be sure to review it on Yelp), visit the Hudson Museum, which contains memorabilia from Hudson and the surrounding area (such as Civil War, WWI and WWII Military items, doctor, dentist, and pharmacy items & railroad items. There is a special room dedicated to the national football title 1975 winning streak, a boy and girl scout room and some nature exhibits). Or you can spend a few hours at the nice, clean beach at Lake Hudson State Recreation Area then... go back to pick up your clean, fresh, cut up (whole, half or quarter!) chickens.
BPP does a BEAUTIFUL job, better than anyone I have ever used (and I have used everyone in MI, incl the Amish, who are awful processors).
You will love the neat and tidy bags, ready to go in the freezer. They make growing your own poultry a piece of cake (or chicken).
Bring some big coolers or a kiddie pool with bags of ice in it (in your SUV) to put the chicken in for your ride home. read more
