Superb. Definitely the spot for dinner in Wick. My wife had the duck which was perfectly cooked. My son got the frog legs and quite enjoyed them. I got a phaesent special which had a perfect gravy. read more

Worth every penny, and worth the effort to find this place. We arrived in Wick hungry, late and a little lost with where to go for dinner. We found Bord de L' eau with a review on Yelp. We weren't disappointed. It's unpretentious, the food is of very good quality, and it is very good value. We ordered from the daily fresh sheet (the specials). My wife had the toasted goat cheese salad and duck confit. I had the prawn starter and halibut main. They were all very good. The fish was perfect (not over nor under done); it was all hot, the chef serving everything on super hot plates (something I pay attention to as I hate a luke warm meal). The staff were friendly. Our waitress, the chef and his wife all contributing to a lovely evening. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Friendly staff, faux French decor, view out over Wick Harbour from the front dining room. Well cooked food, good portions, all pleasant variations on French classics. Nothing truely innovative but everything is very well executed. Scores 4+ for food but the corny decorations drag it down. I would eat here again. read more

Traveled all the way from the West Coast of the US to eat at Bord de L'Eau. The chef is great at his art and from the South of France, he brings something unique to Wick. The servers and hostesses were endearing and lovely. The fish soup was so good that my friend used the bread to wipe the bowl clean and the tagliatelle was a tasty pasta appetizer. We both finished our baguette sandwiches (tuna and mozz/tomato) and completed our meal with both creme brulee and fresh variety of sorbet. Everything was delicious! read more
