Maybe they thought this sort of poor spelling would attract a young clientele, who knows. Anyway, Drinx is a moderately-sized off-licence located in Maghull's square and offers the usual modest selection of alcohol that you would expect from an off-licence of its kind. The prices aren't particularly cheap but as with most places like this, you're paying a little bit extra for the convenience (and them not being warm, usually). There is the usual selection of lagers and bitters available but nothing too obscure generally and the range of wines on offer is fairly extensive. If you're looking for the cheapest deals possible then you should probably head to the nearest supermarket but if you're in a rush then Drinx isn't too bad a place to go to.

I don't really get why they're prefer to call it Booze Buster though, it makes it sound like they're some kind of company that takes away or confiscates booze, much like some kind of prohibition force or something. In reality, Booze Buster is in fact an off-licence so if anything they're encouraging you to drink a lot, or at least buy a lot anyway. The shop itself is quite small and dingy but it does the job as it offers a decent selection of beers, wines and spirits at fairly competitive prices, even if they are a bit more expensive then what you'd pay if you went to a supermarket. The staff in there are helpful enough if you need them but don't expect them to come up to you and ask you how your day has been or anything. Not that something like that really bothers me much though.

They often have lots of special offers on which can make it very cheap indeed. The prices overall are inexpensive, similar to what you would find in a Bargain Booze. The staff are friendly and helpful. The shop can get busy but the staff serve customers quickly and efficiently.

Or if you are travelling from Manchester City Centre you can catch the X57 bus that will stop directly outside or get the train to Bramhall station which is a 10-15 min walk away. They have a very good selection of beers mainly from the UK, Belgium and German with a small selection of USA craft beer. Which is all priced very well. You will struggle to find a better price elsewhere on the beers they have for sale here. One of my favourite beer styles is Saison and they have an excellent range of them here. They also have a couple of beer lines. So you can purchase a pint to sip while you shop or sit on the beer tables outside. It's great on a hot summers day! The selection they have for sale on draft changes quite regular too. They also have a large selection of wines and spirits available. If you a throwing a party and need a great range of beers, wines and spirits then this is the one stop shop you will need. I really like this place, the selection is varied and the price is great. If you love a good beer this place is definitely worth the short trip.

They remain traditonal off licences where you can browse the wine racks, ask advice, place special orders, and appear to dying off in favour of the brasher, cheaper bargain basement off licences. I still enjoy visitng this Threshers, the service is good, friendly and helpful, and they stock an excellent range of wines, beers and spirits. they may be a little bit pricier than the supermarket, but they have much better quality products, if you're keen on your wine.

They also have regular tastings on Saturday afternoons where you can sample new lines. The reason I've given it an extra star is simple: last time I popped in they were playing a classic Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra album. How many other off licenses offer customers sublime wine and sublime music? My point exactly!

The Inn Beer Shop is a lovely little café/bar up the far end of Southport's busy Lord Street that offers customers a chance to take the weight off their seat and have a coffee and some cake for a small price. However, unlike the other cafes in the area, The Inn Beer Shop also specialises in a great range of interesting beers that are both unusual and very refreshing. Their selection is gloriously wide and you can even browse them as you sit and drink as they have a large selection of bottles on display, all lined up for your perusal. The café itself isn't massive but they make good use of the space, and there's even a pleasant seating area outside if you can't find space inside, enabling you to enjoy the perfect combination on a sunny day - great weather and great beer.
