Booze 2 Go is a really weird experience for me because I'm French Canadian and I'm not used to buying my beer in a separate shop. Back home beer is sold everywhere. Often it's stocked right next to the milk fridge.
Another strange aspect is that you have to order your alcohol through a glass window. Just being there makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong. The whole vibe of the place is seedy. Do they need the glass because someone is going to hold them up? Is the beer that precious that they need to hide it from our sight?
Anyways, once you get past the weirdness of the first time, you start to realize that it's not so bad. The selection of alcohol is quite good and the prices are standard.
The name of the shop is quite lame but it sums up the business quite well. You buy your booze and then you go drink it elsewhere. No confusion there! read more
