Some prices seemed slightly higher than Boots nearby, but the selection overall was satisfactory. The store was also clean, the one-way system due to COVID seemed difficult to follow at some of the "narrow" parts of the store. 3* - Decent Superdrug store, I do prefer Boots nearby though in terms of the overall selection.

There is a separate perfume counter selling all the latest designer perfumes but these rae not particularly cheap. Throughout the store there are often offers on the toiletries, gift sets etc but on the whole prices are not as low as bodycare which is just opposite. Superdrug also sells a selection of mobile phones with contracts, and has a small confectionery/ drinks section for snacks on the go. There are often deals available on the bottled drinks. At christmas there are a large number of gifts and gift sets available within the store.

Gee Tees is a two storey local shop in the Pemberton shopping area. The shop has been there for…read moreyears and years but it has kept up to date with consumer needs and still manages to be successful. The shop is in the main high street but is not very accessible to disabled people or mums with prams. There is a small step into the store and then it is split into two floors with the second floor being accessible only by means of a quite steep staircase. Downstairs is the day to day stocks of household cleaning materials, toiletries, hair care, perfumes, stationery items, baby needs, gift sets, vitamins, fist aid stocks, and general sundries such as hot water bottles, washing up bowls, washing lines and other everyday household goods. Go up the stairs however and you are transported into a world of fancy goods, ranges of ceramics, pottery, kitchenware and crockery, cooking equipment, artificial flowers, vases, crystal, scented candles and all manner of giftware and decorative items, mirrors, pictures and small items of decorative furniture.Stock upstairs also follows seasonal trends such as garden furniture in summer etc and xms trees and decorations in winter. The staff are friendly and helpful and have a good rapport with local customers who have probably been going there for years. Attached to the downstairs is also a small card and gift shop selling cards for all occasions, gift packaging, and unique and novelty gift items. The only downside to the shop is its lack of accessibility.

Wilkinsons is situated on Lord Street in Leigh town centre…read more There are car parks which are pay and display around the town and the bus station is close to the centre of Leigh town. The outside of Wilkinsons store is large, bright, clearly signed, modern and clean. Inside the store is large, spacious, bright and clean and well layed out. There are numerous ailses and these are quite wide so do not get too cramped. The store is offers great ranges of items from homeware to toys, hair colours and toileteries to pet and bird supplies and the prices are competitive.it is like an Aladdins cave and you can spend a good amount of time browsing. The checkouts are situated at the front of the store and they are normally well staffed, the customer service desk is opened to buy purchases when queues build up. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is nice. When you have had a good look around Wilkinsons you could have a shop around the town centre of Leigh and in the Spinning Gate centre and adjoining Market, there are plenty of shops including New Look, Dorothy Perkins, Select, Argos, Claires, Boots and more. There is a large car park at the side of the Spinning Gate centre which is handy, this is pay and display. I would highly recommend Wilkinsons, I often manage to get a bargain from there.

They have a great gardening section, selling plants, pots even soil, and they have some lovely unusual garden ornaments etc. The staff are very obliging when you need to return anything, I have returned quite a few faulty items and never had any problems Wilkinson seem to have a good returns policy with no questions asked. They have good offers on their toiletry section, like buy one get one free and when they have a sale they do reduce the items by 50% to 75% if you go in after christmas they practically give stuff away, I always buy chritmas wrapping and present to put away for the following year, it saves me a fortune.
