the pharmacy is on the ground floor of the health center. it is convenient to have somewhere to…read morefill your prescription straight away. there is somewhere to sit, but they tend to be long winded, because of the level of demand. they are thorough and efficient. they have never made a mistake with my medication, and are quite helpful if you have questions about the individual drugs. unlike most of the other pharmacies locally, they do not do automatic reordering of repeat prescriptions. there is plenty of car parking, including blue badge spaces next to the door.

They are not one of the larger Boots stores (despite being big by Barrow's standards) so they don't carry all the ranges of makeup e.g. Urban Decay, but they do have a good selection of all the usual high-street brands, Max Factor, Maybelline, Bourjois etc. They also carry the Soap and Glory bath and body range, which is gorgeous! They have a dedicated No. 7 counter, staffed by lovely ladies - there are 2 specific ones I can think of who are always so friendly and helpful, they have a laugh and a joke with you when you go to pay, and are very knowledgeable about the products on offer. They make shopping there a pleasure! Boots also does regular promotions and events, and their Advantage reward card is one of the best around - well worth getting one, you collect points on everything you buy and it adds up to enough for a lovely treat at the end of the year! Their 3 for the price of 2 gift sets make great Christmas pressies too. Boots also do lovely lunches - their £2.99 meal deal is great value comprising any sandwich/wrap/pasta/salad, any drink and any snack (chocolate/crisps/cereal bars or fruit if you're feeling healthy) Definitely one of the best shops in Barrow!
