There is an Opticians here too which is handy, to go alongside the regular services you'd find in a Boots. I do find shutting at 17:30 to be annoying, especially for such a large town. The only other branch nearby, which is ideal for late openings (Peel Centre Retail Park, Great Portwood Street) also closes at 17:30, so there is surely a need for a store which opens later in the area, especially for the essential Pharmacy services. I did find a lack of staff on the shop floor to be even more annoying, the only staff member I could find was a security guard at the front of the store, who was friendly but not helpful with finding certain items (That wasn't his job and I only asked him as there was no one else). 3* - If you can go into the city centre of Manchester, the Market Street store is much better, I actually had to go in there on my way home as I couldn't get what I needed here.

There is the pharmacy, No7 range and essentials range, most of the toiletries brands, baby section, vitamins and potions, travel, perfumes and electricals, photo, sandwiches, salads, juices and milk, some confectionery and crisps. The choice could be larger but given the area of the shop - it's understandable the choice is not that great. The sandwiches aren't good - shapers, or any other brand - they are just plain awful - tasteless and overpriced, the choice isn't great either. The staff are not that warm, some girls who work there are nice enough but they all could be a bit more polite and helpful. The annoying bit is also that the shelves are not stocked very often, so when you want to e.g. want to buy the 3for 2 vitamins of one choice - there will be one or two items but not three. Some products are not replaced in days - annoying and frustrating. All in all, this Boots is not that bad but it is not that great either when it comes to choice and service.

It is up at Gemini, adjacent to Next and there is a large free car park out the front making it convenient to visit. It is open late until 8pm most night too making it handy to nip to after work. The selection of brands is good, much better than the Boots in town and the staff are helpful and quick, I have never had to queue for long. The only negative point is that the advantage card machine never seems to be working when I visit so I miss out on picking up any extra points that may be on offer.

It's situated on the Gemini retail park & is close to other stores such as Next, Ikea & M&S. The staff are friendly & helpful but sometimes I've found it hard to find someone as the store is so big! They always have excellent 3 for 2 offers on at Christmas & I've had some good buys from there. The car park is a reasonable size but I think it could do with being a bit bigger as it does get busy especially at busy times such as sales & Christmas shoppers. It's open until 8pm & I think at Christmas it sometimes stays open until even later which is always good. Overall a good store with lots to offer.

The Bath bombs and melts are to die for, and the massage bars absolutely brilliant. The staff are always really helpful, and advise on what to buy particularly if it is for a present. You can tell where the Lush store is, as the gorgeous distinctive scent wafts so far down the shopping centre. All the products are fantastic quality and make you or the recepient feel great. This Boots sells all the usual things you would expect: medicines, make up, toiletries etc. They also have a large electrical range and a perfume counter with some really good offers on. This Boots isn't usually too busy because of its location and you don't usually need to queue long at the tills. Boots also run an advantage card system where you get 4 points for every pound you spend. These points can then be spent on items in Boots which have a star next to the price tag. I try to save my points up for Christmas and get quite a lot this way.

Boots in Buxton is quite large for a small town. It has a good stock of toiletries, perfumes, baby…read moreitems and gifts as well as electrical items such as hair dryers, straightners and shavers. There is also a photo desk at the back of the shop where you can print photos and get photo gifts. There is also a chemist where you can pick up prescriptions. The staff are freindly and always willing to help. The only downside of this shop is the price as it tends to be more expensive than places like superdrug. However you can collect Boots points and use them to get items for free.

The staff seem friendly enough, it is a shame this store does shut rather early at 5:30 during the week, which rules out access to the pharmacy, but this seems to be common practice in smaller towns. 3* - Decent store, nothing too special but certainly a nice addition to the town.

I then had to endure a string of Dreadful, awful, other local pharmacies. Cohen's chemist, the large one under the medical centre being the absolute worst anyone could ever imagine! I am a single disabled lady. with quite a large complicated list of regular monthly medications. This has been my first month with them, my prescription was ordered and collected in a very timely manner, without me needing to make 1 million phone calls. All 18 items were requested without any being missed off or left out. They were polite well mannered and extremely helpful and professional both on the phone and in person, and my medication was delivered to my door in a very timely manner with no problems what so ever. It has been 6 months, and 3 chemists since i have had a service this good, with no problems, and a chemist with staff and delivery service that rates 10/10.

Went into Stockport for the first time in ages last week. Found this great boutique, their own…read moredesign label as well as several other independants. Really friendly and the boutique looks fab as well as the outfits. can't wait to wear my dress for Bank holiday wedding coming soon.
