It's been a long standing joke that when I first moved here, I thought this must be a shoe store and therefore, in the hunt for toothpaste, walked right on by. For that reason (and pretty much that reason alone), I like Boots.
This little spot will never be a "destination" store. Unlike the Boots on Princes street which carries everything and the kitchen sink - the selection here is extremely limited. It's a handy distance away from Waitrose, so theoretically if you lived in the area, this should be part of your one-two punch to get all your shopping done. But in reality, there isn't much you'd find at this Boots that you couldn't find across the street - including the pharmacy.
The only real reason to use this place is for the "click and collect". If you're looking for some fancier brand name stuff, you can order it online and pick up here. It's handy when you don't feel like making the trek up to Princes St. Other than that, though the staff are friendly enough and the place is well kept - it's just a little redundant. read more
