This is a small but useful Boots store located in Birmingham New Street station. The facilities of the store are minimal compared to an average Boots store, and this particular location does not include a pharmacy. They do however have a selection of beauty products as well as basic medication including paracetamol, toiletries and to-go food and drink.
I visited the store just to grab a bottled drink, it was quick and straightforward to find what I was looking for, head to the self-service checkout and get out of the store within a minute or two, which is especially useful in a travel environment.
I do think lacking a pharmacy is a big loss for this store, granted Birmingham city centre has many alternatives, but it'd just be useful here, similar to Boots at other train stations including Manchester Piccadilly.
The store didn't appear to have many staff on hand to help customers and there were no manned checkouts in operation during my visit.
3* - Useful to grab a quick snack or drink ahead of a train journey or maybe some last-minute soaps, but this isn't a store you'd visit otherwise with better alternatives upstairs in Grand Central and through the Bullring. read more
