If you think you know what you might like, just start listing adjectives and they will make amazing recommendations. They also understand the patterns of beer releases. For example if there is a stout you remember as being amazing and you know the name, they will most like know when or if it will be released again. The beers have a great amount of labeling with helpful details, especially if you aren't familiar with a particular brewer or style of beer. But again, don't hesitate to ask if you have additional questions. Social Media - I love the beer tastings!!! They bring pretty great brewers here - They announce new and / or rare beers being sold Parking - meh -small lot that fills quickly during rare beer releases. With that being said, if you don't mind parallel parking on Forest Ave, there is plenty of short term parallel parking on the street and it is easy parallel parking (i.e. pull right up to the curb). I highly recommend this location but please leave some good beer for me. :)

Well then let me point out one such fellow "Greg"(store owner) and ask him. Looking for a sour lambic, what about a smokey, bacon-y rauchbeir, maybe a solid hefeweizen would win. My point is there are just so many different beers here that it would beseech you to try more than just the regular. The shop is large and very open. Shelves with plenty of beer and in the back, coolers of beer already chilled. You can get also get small kegs of stuff like Oxbow. A great deal that he offers as well is discounts on mix and matching beers for 4 packs and 6 packs and if you sign up for the email list he will track the amount that you purchase. Once you reach a 100 dollars he will give you back a 5% off. You can spend it then or you can wait and save them up so you could get 10%, 15%, or 20%. A nice thank you to the customer. They do a lot of beer tastings during the week and they have great music playing as well. The biggest knock on the place is the small and awkward parking lot which can get very tight. Plus, where it is located you have to be traveling North on forest ave to get to it. Stop by, say hi to Greg if he is working, get a six pack and sign up your email. When I say the most well stocked, I'm talking about Foundation, Bissell Brothers, Lawson's Finest Liquids, Liquid Riot, you name it and they probably have it. Great sour beer selection as well! That's EXACTLY what you'll find at The Vault, which is such a wonderful, gem in the Lewiston/Auburn area. The owner, Susan, and her staff not only appreciate good wine and beer themselves, but they're incredibly knowledgable about it too. When it comes to my libations, I don't want to be (up)sold on whatever product needs to be moved out. I want to have intelligent conversation with educated folks on what they suggest, why, and have them make recommendations to me about what I might like after I tell them (and they listen with open ears) what it is I personally prefer. And that's part of what The Vault folks offer; they take the time out to get to know you (whether you're a regular or just passing through) so that your experience at their store each and every time you go in is tailored completely around you in that moment and not around whatever retail agenda that might have. Locally craft beers? They do that. Budget-friendly wines? They do that, too. And now they're offering flavorful and unique balsamic vinegars and olive oils, too for both samples and purchasing (although downing a shooter of olive oil is frowned up... The Vault is classier than your average beer and wine store, so don't be one of "those people" [*ahem* like myself] who rolls in and starts taking shots of EVOO like it's going out of style). If you're in the area - even if you're not - and you're looking for something specific, you should talk to Susan and her team. If they can't help you, they'll be able to find someone who can! Also, The Vault frequently hosts wine and beer tastings (something I'm an avid believer in - it's a great way to discover new beverages without spending an exorbitant amount of money on something you may not end up liking), so be sure to check that out as well!

First off, they carry a lot of local beer and spirits which is critical because it's the best. Second, they have one of those cool walk in refrigerators, if you're into the domestic stuff. Third, you can special order a lot of stuff directly through their distributor. I did this over the summer with Oxbow Surf Melon hose because I couldn't find the beer anywhere and wasn't willing to go to Oxbow itself. They put the order in and called a week or so later when they had it in the shop for me. I went in, paid and was out the door. SO good to know you can do that!
