It's not pricey but I wouldn't say it's necessarily a budget place either. The place itself is pretty straightforward, casual and unassuming so come as you are. But after it was served and I had my first bite, this is not Japanese abura soba, it is a typical Chinese/taiwanese street food oil noodle, putting an half boil egg on the side and commercial available thinly slice bamboo shoot (not typical menma style) do not make it japanese. Water boil shanghai bak choy is the giveaway. You can get something similar with more flavor profile at any hibachi restaurant and ask for stir fry noddle. I would prefer they name it as Tsukimi signature chinese street noodle. There is difference between fusion and take a spin and not meeting basics. I would stick with Noodle Ju'B if I want similar dish again for the time being. Abura soba is the first dish served, at that point it made us questioned our choice, maybe we should go for Taiwanese beef noddle soup instead of yuzu chicken and tonkotsu ramen. Yuzu chicken got the tiny bit of bitterness but not enough tart, I was hoping something fresh and light but this is a typical ramen you can make at home and add some yuzu concentrate. The tonkotsu is not the typical creamy broth, if you tell me it is a shoyu base, I would believe it.
